Somewhere over the rainbow

Chapter 3/ Lilia's POV

Walking around the pet store in my clothes from the trial felt wrong and made me feel uncomfortable, well that and the fact that I was 15 and pregnant which meant people were staring at me. "Hello Dear, can I help you?" one of the shop assistants asked she had purple hair and a name tag which said 'CRYSTAL' on it. " I'm looking for puppies please." I replied my smile not at all faked since I was finally getting to live with Kylie. "Right this way," she said leading me down an aisle, "If you don't mind me asking, How old are you?" I knew this was coming so I replied with an easy smile on my face, "I'm fifteen."

"Cool, A little surprising!" was her reply

"Yeah, trust me if it had been my choice I wouldn't even be pregnant right now." I stated glancing towards her.

"Well wasn't it your choice in the first place?" she asked coming to a stop in front of a load of cages with tiny puppies in. I shook my head and bent down to where there was a tiny curly haired puppy all on it's own. "Can I have this one?" I asked stroking it's head through the bars. Crystal nodded and then said, "I'm eighteen and I have a two year old so I don't think it's my place to judge." I blinked in surprise and looked at her as she opened the cage and scooped the puppy out. "I was Raped." I stated as I took the small dog off of her. she didn't show an ounce of surprise and only said, "this is a Male Pomeranian, What are you going to call him?"

I considered for a moment then replied, " Vapour." she nodded and walked us over to the name tag section. I picked out a bone shaped tag and half an hour later I was walking towards the purple Tesla with vapour bundled in my arms and Crystal's phone number in my back pocket.

Later that day, I was sat in my room in the rocking chair Kylie and I had bought earlier for when the baby arrived, in my hands was a notebook and a pen and in the notebook I was scribbling down baby name ideas, When there was a knock at my door. "Come in!" I called not looking up from the list I had written. "Hey Lil, It's us." I heard Charlie's voice from the doorway, I grinned flinging the notebook onto my bed and jumping up, whipping my head to the door I saw my three best friends, Charlie, Chrissie (Christina) and Flynn. "OH MY GOD YOU'RE HERE!!" I screamed flinging my arms around Charlie's neck then Chrissie's then Flynn's. "Wow Lil's you look good and very pregnant!" Chrissie said squeezing me back. all three of us started giggling and I nodded, cradling my bump. "is it a girl or a boy Lil?" Flynn asked eyeing my stomach wearily.

"A little girl." I replied gesturing to the white cot at the end of my bed the inside had stuffed animals and a fluffy pink blanket was draped over the side. "Of course it's a girl Lil, What are you naming her?" Chrissie exclaimed grinning at me.

"Don't know, I'm still deciding at the moment I really like, Leigh, Sydney, phoenix or Clarissa." I sighed flopping down on my bed with my stomach pointing to the ceiling. "what about all of those names?" Charlie suggested from where he was sitting in the rocking chair. "YEAH!!" Chrissie yelled springing up from the floor, "What like, Sydney Clarissa Leigh Phoenix Flint?" I asked incredulously raising one of my eyebrows. My three best friends nodded, smiles as wide as the Cheshire cat. "Why not? I mean you like all of the names and it sounds cute." Flynn said plonking himself down next to me on the bed as I sat up and leant into him, he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "Maybe if you remove Phoenix from the end it might sound a bit better." I heard Kylie suggested from the doorway.

"Sydney Clarissa Leigh Flint." I rolled the name around on my tongue and smiled when I liked the way it sounded. "Michael's Here." Kylie stated walking into the room and opening the window to let the air in I grinned, Michael was kylie's Boyfriend and he loved playing video games with me.
