"Be-beta, ky-kya aap Sh-Shah-meer se nik-nik-ah kare-karein-gi?"
(Child, will you marry Shahmeer)

She answered after some silent moments,
"I will." Her father smiled at her and told her to call everyone.

Soon enough everyone was inside, he informed them about the wedding and her mother just looked at her daughter with shock written all over her face, but what can she do, she was tied by the hands of the situation. Her brother did not show any kind of emotion and let things happen the way they were. Not one was able to do anything because they all knew if this marriage was meant to happen this way, then no one and nothing can stop it, and soon a Qazi was called.
(Qazi is just like a priest, who would read the holy words to unite to people)

Everyone gathered around the already dressed but gloomy bride and thus the ceremony began.
"Do you, Shahmeer Zidan Jahangir, son of Zidan Jahangir, take Syra Noor Waleed Hussain, daughter of Waleed Hussain, as your wife with a dower of 5 lac rupees?"
"Qubool hai." Shahmeer replied firmly.
(I do)

And he said the same two more times.
Now it was Syra's turn and she was numb. Her whole body stopped feeling and she felt cold everywhere. Her mind was puzzled and was not able to process anything that was happening. She was lost in a trance, a trance so disturbing that she only felt darkness ahead and nothing else, her vision seemed to be darkened but soon when she was not responding to what the Qazi was saying her mother kept her hand on her shoulder which broke her trance and she looked up at her, with an encouraging smile, she looked at the Qazi who asked her the question again.

"Do you, Syra Noor Waleed Hussain, daughter of Waleed Hussain, take Shahmeer Zidan Jahangir, son of Zidan Jahangir, as you husband with the dowry of 5 lac rupees?"

"Q-qubool hai." She accepted but hesitancy laced her voice, which was heard by the one who was asked the same moments ago.
(I-I do)

Replying the same two more times, they both accepted each other as their partners.
Everyone was happy, yet sad. The doctors and nurses were shocked and smiled sadly. Sad, because they knew how difficult a time this is and the only reason they did not stop them from doing this was the patient. The doctors knew what was going on in his head and how must he have been feeling. But they smiled because in a place where a new life is given while one is being taken back a union of two souls was happening. Soon enough the doctors were given permission to start the operation. Waleed Hussain smiled when he saw her daughter with the one who will protect her way more then he had thought.

Everyone left the I.C.U and the doctors started the operation. All were constantly praying and asking for his better health.
But Syra was petrified and so out of place, her mind was still processing what had just happened and her eyes were tearing up slowly.
