Jean's date

Mikasa took another look her jacket and shirt and adjusted her bracelet. She combed her hair and touched her neck. She missed the warmth her scarf gave her, but resisted the urge to put it on. Even though he never said it, Mikasa knew that Jean didn't like it. She took a deep breath and left the room.

She met Jean on a nearby tree and once he saw her, he grinned and kissed her cheek. He offered his arm for her to take, and she gladly did, smiling sweetly at him.

He glanced at her neck and realized she wasn't wearing her scarf. He knew she wouldn't forget to put it on. She just made an effort to make him happy.

"So where are we going?" Mikasa asked him.

"It's a surprise." Jean said grinning. Mikasa rolled her eyes as they walked, quietly and peacefully.

Jean placed his hands on Mikasa's eyes, so she wouldn't see where they were going.

"Jean." She warned.

"I told you Mikasa," He said leaning closer to her ear. "It's a surprise." He whispered. She shivered and nodded.

He smirked leading her forward. He removed his hands from her eyes as she opened them slowly and saw where he'd taken her. It was a field, and there was a picnic set on the grass. The birds chirping and the blue sky made the scenery perfect. Jean smiled at Mikasa's wide eyes.

"So, why don't we eat?" He suggested taking her hand. She smiled and followed him. They sat down and ate their sandwiches, talking and laughing. The subject of the titans or their next mission was not once mentioned.

Jean picked up a flower and put on Mikasa's hair, making her giggle.

"It looks good on you." He said caressing her cheek. She looked up at his light brown eyes, that were filled with hope and love. She hugged him tightly, knocking down the picnic basket. He was surprised at first, but hugged her back, sniffing her soft scent. She pulled away from him, meeting a cheeky grin. She rested her head on his shoulder as they watched the sunset.

An hour later, and there they were, laying down side by side watching the stars.

"You know... If- If you choose Eren, I'll still be here for you." He told her. "I'd wait a hundred years, just to make you happy."

Mikasa looked at him, but didn't say anything. She just took his hand in hers and continued looking at the stars. Jean smiled at her touch and squeezed her hand.

He felt her squeeze back and closed his eyes.

He still has a chance.

"Thank you Jean." Mikasa said once they were back to the camp. "It was great." She kissed his nose and went back to her room and plopped down on her bed, touching the flower Jean gave her.

She laid down and wondered where Eren was going to take her.

I'm so sorry I took so long and it's such a short chapter :( I swear I'll post Eren's date really soon. And I mean it!
By the way, yes, I did change my username. Why? I felt like it. But don't worry! I'm still the same cheesy fanfiction writer :3
