Friday morning came faster than I expected, luckily, the rest of the week Chrissy was acting particularly nice to me and Victoria has kept her distance from me since our last conversation.

Connor sent us all the details about the party on our new 'friends' group.

Chrissy offered to drive me but I insisted on going with Angelo, there was no way I would get into a car with her ever again.

I was putting on my favorite AC/DC shirt when my phone rang.

Chrissy's name was brightly shining on my phone; I was hesitant to answer but curiosity got the best of me once again.

''Uh, hi?'' I greeted awkwardly.

She sounded nervous, almost frightened.

''We need to talk.'' She stated.

Could this be a trap?

''About what?'' I asked.

She ignored my question.

''I'm outside.''

I hung up and looked out of my window and saw her ocean blue eyes looking right at me.

She looked bewildered like the devil is chasing her.

I ran downstairs, past Victoria chatting away on the phone and out of the door.

I walked towards her and she quickly did the same.

''I can explain.'' She said as I walked towards her.

I frowned, is she finally coming clean about everything?

''You lied about kissing a girl, about dating and about everything you told me.'' She called me out.

I wouldn't say everything.

''Not all of it was a lie,'' I said defensively.

She started fiddling with the edges of her black and white T-shirt, she looked past me towards my house and around us.

It almost looked like she thought that we were being watched.

''Tonight, at the party. Look for me and I will tell you everything.'' She requested softly.

She looked like she wanted to run off and hide.

''Wait, isn't that why you came here?'' I said confused.

Her eyes were filled with fear and she whispered.

''We are not alone; I can't tell you anything right now.''

She hurried off to her car and drove away.

When she left I called Angelo and ran into the house.

''Angelo, you will never believe who just paid me a visit.''

He hummed through the phone.

''Lucifer?'' He guessed jokingly.

I walked up the stairs and towards my bedroom door.

''Close enough. Chrissy just showed up out of the blue and told me she will tell me the truth tonight at the party.''

He replied in a fit of laughter.

''Yeah, right. She really thinks we are dumb enough to fall for that.''

This could be a trap but it is a risk that I have to take to protect my family.

''I have to do it. I have to know.'' I said determinedly.

He stopped laughing and whispered.

''Are you serious? Mel, she could physically hurt you.''
