CHAPTER9(Lady Juliette's POV)
I look in the mirror. I read about an old video game called Mario and Luigi. Delilah and I decided to dress up as it. I am Mario while Delilah is Luigi. We put on our costumes and head downstairs.
We walk into the great room where we can compliment each others costumes. We also take pictures with a camera that Queen America stole from Maxon. I look around and realize that we are the Elite. Wow. Here are the ten girls left:
Raven Dallow, three
Carmen Brooks, four
Delilah Thomas, four
Maria Nethers, two
Samantha Brown, two
Bianca DeGrace, three
Jamie Hearth, four
Heather Springs, two
Estelle Livens, two
Juliette Calaster, fiveI realize that I'm the lowest caste. Delilah looks at me and says "We're part of the Elite!!"
I ask "Who do you like more?"
"Carter. What about you?"
Oh god. She's in love with Carter. I say "I don't really know yet."
She nods and walks over to Jamie and Carmen. I decide to make friends and walk over with her. Carmen and Jamie went matching too. Carmen is an angel while Jamie is a devil.
I look around the room.
Maria and Heather are both wearing slutty sailor suits. Estelle is a bride. Samantha is a princess. Bianca and Raven are cat and mouse. I'm about to introduce myself when someone knocks on the door.
It's the Royal family. Queen America is a vampire while Maxon is a werewolf. Prince Carter is a ninja, and Prince Romeo is a pirate.
We all walk to the ballroom and Delilah and I dance. The Princes switch out with another girl every song. So far, they have danced with Estelle, Samantha, Maria, Heather, Bianca, and Raven. Prince Carter asks Jamie while Prince Romeo asks Carmen.
They dance for two dances and everyone is giving them cold glares. I laugh and tell them "Wow. Not too many people are happy that you got an extra dance."
They laugh and motion to the front of me. Carter is holding his hand to..
CHAPTER10
(Lady Juliette's POV)
Me.
Carter wants to dance with me.
I take it and smile. He whispers "I'm sorry"
"Me too. I shouldn't have ignored you. I knew that you had to date them. I just didn't know that you would shove your tongue down their throats."
We laugh.
I say "I'm also sorry for sending you out. I really wanted to sleep with you, but I didn't want to be tempted to talk to you. I really do love you, Carter Schreave."
He says "I love you more. Listen, Samantha came up to me when I was reading this book out of place, and she started to make out. I didn't want to, but she moaned and bit my lip so I couldn't back away. I really am sorry."
"It's okay, but what book were you reading?"
"The Fault in Our Stars."
I beam up at him and he asks "What?"
"I read that every day and put it in that spot so I knew where it was." I whisper smiling.
He asks "May I sleep with you tonight?" just barely audible.
"Of course."
I look around and see cold glares my way. I realize that we've been dancing for almost four songs.
I blush and he notices. He whispers "Do you know that you look absolutely adorable when you blush?"
That makes me blush even more and I bite my lip.
I thank him quickly and sit down. Romeo winks at me and I smile.
I go to get some punch when someone announces "Now, we will have a dance for everyone. Please choose a partner. I set down the empty cup and walk to Delilah. I'm about two feet away when Romeo asks
"Would you like to dance?"
"Of course."
We start to dance and chat. he asks me on a date tomorrow before breakfast and I accept. After two and a half songs, the speaker announces "Please switch partners."
I walk over to Delilah and we dance. She's really bad and I laugh because she steps on my shoes like three times. I'm a talented dancer in ballet and tap, but mostly ballet.
We switch again and I walk to Carmen while Delilah walks to Jamie. I dance with Carmen and we are both equally good at it. We chat about our lives and switch.
I dance with Jamie and she's just as bad as Delilah. We chat and laugh. He announces that we are finished and I walk over to the bench. I sit down and talk to Delilah. We talk about the Princes and our dates with them. I tell her everything except the letter and the sleeping together.
The ball has finished. When I get back to my room, I put on a teeshirt and change into black shorts. Carter quietly comes in around ten thirty. I smile as he comes over and snakes his arms around my waist.
He stares at my eyes and says "You're beautiful."
"No I'm not. You really don't have to say-"
He cuts me off by pressing his lips to mine. I smile against his lips and the kiss deepens.
Soon we are both out of breath and he says "I've been dying to do that."
"You just couldn't help yourself, could you?" I say, biting my lip. I'm inches away from kissing him before smirking and turning over.
He says "Really?"
I giggle. "Yup." I reply.
He laughs and says "Pleaseeeee."
I respond with "Goodnight."
He says "Just one more?"
"Well, I am not supposed to deny the Prince of anything, so I suppose-" I say inching towards him. When we are rubbing noses, I whisper "not."
I smirk, roll over and walk out on the balcony.
He quickly follows. He picks me up and seats me on the railing like I'm weightless. He starts to kiss me desperately and his arms finger through my hair, leaving tangled strands all over my head. My arms hold on tightly to his neck for support.
He whispers "Juliette, I love you so much."
"I love you too."
He smiles and kisses me again. I fall off of the railing and onto him. He carries me back to my bed, bridal style.
He practically tosses me onto my bed and lays on top of me I smile and he says "Juliette you are so adorable."
"Carter really-"
He interrupts me again by kissing me softly. He backs up, catches his breath, and comes back for more.
I smile and kiss him back with compassion, promise, trust, and so much more, but most of all, I kiss him with love. We are mid-kiss when someone barges through my door.
I should say someones.
As in Maria Nethers and Heather Springs.
