New to the state of California, Mariah never expected new adventures and she didn't know the obstacles she would come across.

The sun rays that peeked through my blinds woke me up. I sat up and looked around at my room for awhile until I noticed the time on the clock:
１０：３０Ａ．Ｍ．
"SHIT!" i yelled. I'm supposed to be at the shop by 11:00 and i haven't even left the house yet. When I was done in the bathroom, i ran back to my room and picked out an outfit, did my makeup, then flat-ironed my hair.
I went downstairs in the kitchen to see that my mom left a note with $100 attached to it because I ended up telling her about the whole skateboard situation. The note said "buy yourself a new board Mariah, i love you" I read aloud with a smile on my face.
I grabbed my keys and rushed out of the door. I arrived at the shop around 10:55 which kind of caught me by surprise because the walk seemed way longer yesterday. ++++++
"Aye look who finally made it!" said Ray. "I thought you were going to ditch us." said Ryan with a smile while pulling me into a hug.
"Why would I wanna miss hanging out with you guys?" I said while laughing. I almost forgot about the money my mom gave me for the board. "OH! Ray here's the money for my new board." I said while handing him the money.
Fuckshit, Ruben, and Fourthgrade came in as Ray was putting my skateboard together. We all greeted each other before Ray handed me my new skateboard. "Thank you so much Ray!" I exclaimed and gave him a hug.
"Of course, that's what friends are for."
"Also, try not to fuck this one up". he replied. "Haha very funny... fuck you" i replied sarcastically. We then sat down and watched some skate videos.

"Y'all trying to go skate?" Ray asked as he stood up.
"Yeah, i'm down" the group said in sync. We skated in the middle of the road and i'm not gonna lie... i was pretty scared. I guess Ruben had noticed because he patted my shoulder and said "It's not as scary as it looks. Just focus" I listened to what he said which really helped.
We then went back to the shop to skate because they have a skate park... I guess that's what you could call it. Fourthgrade was recording everyone skating, music was playing in the background, everyone was having a good time.
I tripped Fuckshit and attempted to pick up Ryan, but it backfired when she body slammed me. We all ended up making each other laugh, and I even managed to learn a few new tricks.
Ruben was sitting alone, so I took a seat next to him. "Hi, Ruben" I said. "Hi, Mariah."
"Thanks for helping me today, i really appreciate it"
"It was nothing, really." he replied. "How was life back in Florida? Was it like... fun?" he asked me. I started to have flashbacks of what life was like back there. "Yeah, I enjoyed it, but I'm glad I moved here," I began, pausing in the middle of my sentence, "because I got to meet you," he smirked.
It was getting pretty late so Fuckshit started taking everyone home.

Ruben and I talked until it was time for him to go. "Bye ruben, see you." I said while hugging him. After he got out of the car Ryan nudged me and said "Ouuuuu."
"Shut up!" I replied.

Finally we arrived at my house and everyone said goodbye to me.
I walked in the house to hear my mom talking to someone. "Mariah look who flew into town!!" she said excitedly. I saw my best friend from Florida, Tiana. I ran and tackled her. "When did you get here?!" I asked. "Like a couple of hours ago" she replied.
"Good news Riah! She's staying here for the summer!" my mom said. I was so happy that she was staying.

It was around 9:30 and I told her about Ryan & the guys. "Do you wanna stop by the shop tomorrow so you can meet everyone?"
"Girl yes! Now let's go to bed because you know good and well we wake up late". We both laughed and laid down. "Goodnight Tia." I said.
