The hunt for Crowley began as soon as everyone was back at Bobby's house. The guys researched for a few days and you managed to recover what energy you had lost to Cas when he had touched your soul. Surely Cas would've known that Crowley was still alive. Like he said; he was an angel. At first Dean had denied any connections between the two, but now he was starting to second guess it all. It was eventually decided that you all would continue your search without Cas, and that none of you were sure he could be trusted.

It was discovered that demons were hunting monsters across the country, and you were all sure that they were acting on Crowley's command. Sam and Dean managed to capture one of them and soon he was sitting in Bobby's living room under a devil's trap, chained to a chair. You weren't allowed near him, though, in order to keep you a secret in case he somehow managed to escape. As Bobby questioned him with the demon killing knife, he let out that he doesn't deal with Crowley, but he deals with the 'dispatcher'- a demon named Ellsworth.

Bobby had said after that, "If we ain't wrong about Cas and Crowley, if there's a snowball of a snowball's chance here, that means we're dealing with a Superman who's gone dark side. Which means we've gotta be cautious. We gotta be smart. And maybe stock up on some kryptonite."

At that point Dean had turned to Sam and said, "This makes you Lois Lane," completely breaking the seriousness of the discussion.

The whole thing had you on edge. Several times you found yourself watching your back, a strange tingling sensation at the back of your head telling you that you were being watched. Of course, everyone was on edge. You were all lying to your strongest ally. You watched Dean struggle with this, but knew he wouldn't betray Sam or Bobby. None of you could be sure that Cas was working against you, but it was a possibility. At least, until you visited Joshua that night in a dream.

You were in the garden, at the same fountain you had met him at before. He walked toward you with a basket full of dead branches and a pair of snips.

"Hello, again," he greeted with a smile.

"Do you know anything about what's going on with Crowley? Or Castiel?" You got right to the point.

Joshua sighed. "It is my job to lead you, and the Father's job to show you what you need to know. I am only His helper."

"You didn't answer my question."

Joshua set down the basket and the snips on a nearby bench and then crossed over to you. He put his fingers to your temple and your vision went white before you saw Bobby's house. The four of you stood around the kitchen, discussing what to do about Castiel. It was odd, watching yourself. You looked so small, and nervous, compared to the brothers and Bobby. They were all anger and determination. Bobby started on his talk about Superman and kryptonite. Out of the corner of your eye you caught dark hair. When you turned, you saw Cas, standing in the corner of the room and listening to everything being said. Your eyes widened. You remembered that sensation in the back of your head and you watched yourself turn around, but your eyes never landed on Cas. It was like you couldn't see him.

He's been listening in on us.

The image flashed white again before you were in an odd room, lit by fluorescent lights and lined by subway tile. It was full of weird medical equipment and at the center stood Crowley, messing with the dead body of Eve, who was cut open in front of him. You watched Cas walk in and gasped.

"Howdy, partner," Crowley greeted him.

"What have you found?" Castiel asked.

Easy listening played on in the background as Crowley answered. "Found a lot of things. For example, Eve's brain- dead as a tin kipper. And yet," Crowley reached inside of her open gut and pulled out a handful of what looked to you like large fish eggs, "for some reason, she keeps laying eggs."
