so i had this idea

"Ah, Quentin, the man of the hour." Adam grinned, twirling a pen around in his right hand. "So how did it go? Were you able to figure out a deal?"

Quentin nodded, smirking. "Yeah, managed to sign a contract."

"Don't business deals take days to sort out?" Ian asked, confused. "There's no way you could have made a good deal in just a few hours."

Quentin grinned at Ian. "You underestimate my abilities."

Ty wasn't convinced by this. "How? How did you manage to come up with a reasonable trade plan in, what, five hours?"

Jason nodded. "Yeah, there must have been a lot of offers on the table."

Quentin sighed, leaning back in his chair. "You guys want the full story?"

The men at the table all said yes, except for Jordan, who muttered something about everyone there being immature before leaving. They ignored him.

"Okay," Quentin started, shifting around in his seat, "so immediately two corporations offered to sign a contract with us, both with a firm hold upon stores across the continent. They couldn't resist the opportunity to supply an entire army. However," he sighed, "the companies are business rivals and refused to let me accept the other."

Ian scoffed. "They do know they could both provide for us, right?"

"They both refused," Quentin answered. "Insisted it be one or the other. And normally I would be able to get them to stop fighting long enough to get them to agree on something, but the salespeople?" He closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Well, one's a red-blooded capitalist and the other loves starting fights. So I couldn't decide between the two. Well, they wouldn't let me. In fact, I believe they're still fighting."

"But you signed a contract with someone," Adam pressed, "right?"

Quentin leaned back into his chair. "Yep. An hour into the fighting a different person came in from a different company. Another rival, but he wasn't interested in fighting. Also a really good salesperson. Four hours later we had a deal with a big but not quite as famous corporation called IDEA."

"IDEA?" Jason asked, scrunching up his face. "Wait, then what were the other companies?"

Before Quentin could answer, though, a loud shouting match was heard from outside the meeting room, possibly from the other side of the hall.

"You people have enough business outlets already, Cub!"

"And that makes who the better company? Who, Grian?"

It continued like this for a while, and Quentin simply answered the previous question with, "Sahara and ConCorp."
