Part 15: Old friend

We're getting close to the edge of the safe zone now. Aj had been listening to my CD player for quite a bit, but I took them away since we need to plan what we're gonna do soon. Violet and Louis are walking behind us, and have remained silent most of the time.

Aj turns to Clem and asks her "Are we going back to the car?"

"No Aj, the cars destroyed. We're going to have to walk."

"What if my feet bleed again? Can't we find a new one?"

"We'll have to just wait and see bud. We'll tape them up if they do."

Suddenly a voice behind us speaks up. "Can't be that bad. You guys should be used to it by now."

Me and Clem turn to give him a death stare. "You have no idea how hard it is out here. You've been safe behind walls this whole time, so shut up Louis."

I turn to Clem and nod my head. She said all the right things there, and that'll shut up him up. We walk a little further and eventually Violet speaks up.

"This is it guys. We're at the edge of the safe zone, so we're gonna head back. Is there anything you want to say?"

Louis shakes his head and turns his back towards us. "I think I've said enough." He then walks off down the path, and leaves Violet there.

"I'm really sorry guys. Me and Tenn really tried to keep you at the school, but there was nothing we could do about it. Please stay safe, and maybe stay close by if possible. I'll try to change some opinions."

I nod my head and speak. "Thanks Vi, but don't risk anyone's safety to find us. It's hard to tell where we'll be in the next couple days, so just keep that in mind if something changes."

She nods her head, and turns to leave. Now it's just Me, Clem, and Aj left there alone. I start to walk down the path away from the school, and they soon follow.

We walk a little and then Aj speaks up. "Clem, Y/N, will we be okay?"

Me and Clem look at each other, and she nods to me to speak. "Yeah Aj, were gonna be fine. You now got an extra hand to help you guys survive, and I know some places we could stay for the night."

"Do any of them have beds?"

"The last place I was at before I met you guys had a makeshift bed. You and Clem can probably fit on that."

Aj smiles and turns to Clem who replies with her own. She then looks over to me. "Is it close by? It'll be dark soon, I can feel it."

"It's a little pass the train station, so we'll need to- oh shit get down!"

We all hide behind some trees and rocks. In front of us is the man from the train station. How the hell did he survive those walkers and cut off his arm in time! No matter, we need to take him out.

Clem's thinking the same thought as she pulls her knife out. "Stay here Aj, me and Y/N got this."

I nod my head and pull out my own knife. Clem waits behind the tree until he's close enough, and then lunges out to him. They both struggle for a bit, but I come over and kick his legs out from underneath him. He falls to the ground and drops his gun.

He looks up at us and smiles. "Tough little shits aren't ya! Ambushing an one armed man!"

Clem reaches to pick up his gun, but she's hit by some woman's gun from behind. Clem falls to the ground, and the man grabs his gun. He makes a motion to get on the ground and I do what he says. Clem's awake, but the woman has her leg planted on her so she can't get up.
