From the time we met

you were dear to me.

"I really love you a lot, Saihara-chan!"

"I really love you, too, Oma-kun.."

Those were the last words we spoke to each other. Allow me to explain my story. . . if you really want to hear it, that is. My name is Shuichi Saihara and I'm a detective. Well known is Japan-- my job is dangerous; and many people have been killed by my own two hands. I always try to avoid conflict and killing when I can, but if it really comes down to it, I won't hesitate to pull the trigger. After all, being the Ultimate Detective was all I was really good at. So I accepted that's just what I could do. Whether I personally thought I was good at it was another conflict on its own. Though what I'm about to tell you changed my perspective on my Ultimate forever.

Those seasons keeps on changing in my memories.

The night sky which I gazed into

 would never seem to end.

"What do you mean your 'just good at being a detective'? That's not true. At least people like and trust your talent. You should be more grateful you know~"  Kokichi told Shuichi  when the blue-headed male brought up his talent and his thoughts on it. "I think it's a fun Ultimate. After all, when I do something bad you'll come and chase me down, right~?" The leader asked the now blushing detective. Shuichi had barely known Kokichi before he was unable to fall for him hard.

Even then you woke me up with a smile.

Kokichi and Shuichi lived with each other for about a year. Saihara didn't mind going to work at his uncles police department-- and Shuichi learned more about the law force and how to improve his skills, and even trained and went out on cases. And every day when he came home...

"Saihara-chan!" Kokichi always greeted his boyfriend when Saihara came home. Then Oma would suggest things they could do and play together. And even though he was tired from tough training, errands, and paper work, Shuichi would always  make time for Kokichi. Whether it was watching tv on the couch and falling asleep together; Kokichi usually ending up entirely on Shuichi, but he didn't mind and found it peaceful when Oma slept in his arms. "He's always so quiet.."  Shuichi would sigh happily to himself-- seeing that the person who mattered most was safe right there where he could see him. Or sometimes they would play games. After getting tired of losing at UpWords, Kokichi would make Shuichi play a video game instead that way Oma could win, too.

Now I can't erase

the image of your face.

"What do you mean he's missing?!"  Shuichi growled at his officer, holding him by the scuff of the man's shirt. "The hell he's gone! I'll find him!" The detective shouted and threw the officer on the floor in the office. "You're all lying! Kokichi is not  gone!" He breathed heavy breaths-- his eyes wide with shocked and anger. "Give me the details now !" He demanded the other police officers who quickly got to work around the office; gathering information on Kokichi Oma's recent disappearance. Apparently, around 8:47 pm, Kokichi was on his way to meet Shuichi at work. The purple-headed seventeen year old was walking there alone. Why  didn't Kokichi tell Shuichi he was planning to meet him? His uncle gave his nephew the information on what they knew, and Shuichi quickly snatched it.  Saihara had no idea Oma was planning any surprise visit. . . Shuichi didn't waste another second before grabbing his black trench coat and jerking the door open and running through the department, to the lobby-- then bursting he front entrance doors wide open and stepping quickly onto the wet pavement-- the winter rain already falling heavily on the detective; he didn't care, he didn't listen to his uncle's call from behind, the noises--the sounds; the screams and yelling his brain shouted at him was all Shuichi heard!
