Juliet's POV:
I was drifting in and out of consciousness seeing the flashing of the ceiling lights, as I was being rushed through the hospital halls on a stretcher, doctors, and nurses saying words that my brain couldn't comprehend. I was trying to stay awake but as they pulled me into a room, everything went dark.

I woke up, everything hurting and wondering where I was. I went to get up feeling pain shoot through my body. I felt pinched in my arms and looked down to see needles connected to tubes distributing fluids, which I assumed were IV's, stick in my arm with a piece of tape to keep it on. I looked around for someone, but the room was empty, and the door was closed.

I heard the door handle jiggle and as it opened, in came a nurse. I made eye contact with her, her eyes becoming wide as she quickly left the room. I yelled after her wondering what was wrong. Pretty soon a handful of doctors came into the room with clipboards and medical supplies, as well as the nurse from before with a tray of food that she set to the side.

I started to panic as they all were asking me questions, but all I heard was a jumble of words. I finally managed to speak, my voice hoarse and cracked from not using it, "Hey! I just woke up not knowing where the hell I am. Please can someone tell me what is going on!"
The doctors went silent, but one walked over to me asking the rest of them to leave and give us privacy. After they all left the doctor continued to ask me questions, like what's your name, age, and any family, to which I responded with "Juliet Finley, I'm 23, and I have two sisters, but they are a few states over. Now that the interview is over can you please tell me what is going on?"

"We'll Miss Finley, You have been in a coma-like sleep for four days, going in and out of cardiac arrest. We had brought you in after you had gotten into a severe car accident four days ago. You had shrapnel from both cars in your left arm, both legs, and in your abdomen puncturing a hole in your stomach. We were able to take them all out and close the wounds, but you were going into cardiac arrest. We had no idea why, and that continued for the past three days. You haven't gone into cardiac all day. We had a little trouble bringing you back the first time after the particle accelerator blew, the power went out all over the hospital, and we couldn't bring you back until emergency power kicked in a few seconds later,"

I was dumbfounded and didn't know how to respond. The doctor left the room, going to call any close relatives to collect me and my things, and to let me process it all. I sat up in my bed and went to eat the hospital food, it was bland but I didn't care, it was food and I haven't eaten real food in four days. A while later the nurse came in again to change the IV and my bandages. After she left I looked around and saw a bag, I went up to it taking the stand that held the IV and used it as a cane to help myself stand up. I brought the bag back to my bed and rummaged through it until I found my phone.

It was cracked all over and had a little blood on it. I unlocked it and looked up what happened with the particle accelerator and it was all over the news. I had remembered what happened before it blew.

Flashback:
I was new in town, and left my apartment after unpacking most of my boxes. I had heard about it so I went out for a drive to go and see it. I was at a stoplight and it started raining heavily, when a pickup truck came speeding down the road, heading straight towards me, about to t-bone my driver's side seat. I couldn't remember what happened after that, so I assumed that I had blacked out.
End of Flashback

I knew that I needed to leave the hospital, so I stood up, hoping that I still had my clothes, but as I looked into the bag I only saw my other belongings. I mean it makes sense because after the car accident my clothes were probably torn and bloodied up. So I got up removing all the needles from my arms, and standing up without the IV stand, bag in hand, ignoring the pain, and started to head out the door. Surprisingly enough, there wasn't a doctor or staff member insight in my hallway, so I walked around whilst also dodging any other medical staff I came across. I saw the entrance and made a dead shot for it but just as I was about to leave I heard the front desk lady call to me, but I ignored her as she kept calling me.

The next thing I know, there are people in uniforms trying to hold me from leaving. I started to panic not wanting to stay so I struggled, accidentally hitting one of them in the nose.

They all started to pick me up and suddenly I felt my body tingle, not being in control of it anymore, as though an electricity started to run through my body, tingling underneath my skin,  ready to burst through. I felt it release and saw a golden-ey orange cloud that seemed to be shimmering, leave my whole body surrounding the men in suits who I assumed to be guards. It went into them leading a faint light like a wire, linking to me. I felt as though I were sucking their energy, their life force.

While this was happening I felt all wounds in and on my body heal, I felt the best I have ever felt. The cloud went back into my body, as all the guards fell to the ground, like rag dolls. There were so many thoughts running through my head, so I ran out of the hospital as fast as I could, not looking back. Little did I know that someone was watching me from the shadows. A certain someone in a certain wheelchair.
