Chapter 3

I woke up early, I didn't know at first but when I went down stairs and called for my mum and Maddie, my sister, and no one responded. I looked at the time "woah I woke up early" I said to myself, so I thought I had enough time to make my favourite breakfast meal, pancakes. I make some extra and left them on the table for mum and Maddie. I write on a piece of paper
Woke up early
Hope you want some pancakes

And I placed the note next to the plate of pancakes. I texted Yammy, and said
"Yammy I woke up early, so I am on the way to your house."
I send the message and seconds later I hear a beep from my phone, it was Yammy she texted me back and said
"Ok ill be waiting"
I put my phone back in my jacket pocket and continued walking. On the way to Yammy's house, I see Joel with a girl, they were just talking to each other so I thought nothing of it, I turn a way for one second and I see them kissing , they were obviously together . I didn't want to cry, but my eyes got teary and I ran the rest of the way. I knock on Yammy's door and she answers and says "hey Lizzi- what's wrong are you ok"
Lizzie: i'm fine don't worry.
Yammy: I know something's wrong, tell me
Lizzie: well I just...
I pause as a slight tear falls down my cheek
Lizzie: I saw Joel kissing a girl, i know it's pathetic for me to be crying right now but-
Yammy cut me off
Yammy: I knew that you liked him that way, anyway it happens to a lot of us, it even happened to me with Kyle don't feel alone.
Lizzie: ok
I wipe the tears off my face, trying not to ruin my makeup. When we arrive at school, we meet up with everyone and talk for a bit until the warning bell rings. Everyone goes to their lockers to get their books, but as I close my locker a girl approaches me
???: hello Lizzie
Lizzie: how do you know my name
???: Never mind, but I have come here to tell you something
Lizzie:  look i'd love to talk but I need to go to class, so if you don't mind please may you move out of the way.
???: i'm not letting you go that easily
Lizzie: who even are you
???: I am Laura, and Joel's girlfriend
That's the girl I saw him with this morning
Lizzie: what do you want
Laura: I want you to stay away from Joel
Lizzie: if I do will you leave me alone
Laura: yes I will, you can go to class now
What's her problem, out of all people why me, did she know that i had a crush on Joel . I quickly get to class and when I arrived I try to sneak in while the teachers back is turned, I somehow did it successfully. I quickly get my books out and turn to the page that everyone was on, luckily no one rated me out. Phew that was a close one.
Magical time skip to lunch
The bell finally rang, that class felt like and eternity, Luckily it was lunch now. I met Yammy in the school corridor
Lizzie: i'm scared to go to the lunch hall
Yammy: it will be fine girl, don't worry, stop panicking
Lizzie: you sure Yammy
Yammy: I am positive
Yammy smiled at me and I smiled back at her
Lizzie: ok, lets go
