Love Him, Not Me

     It was yet another day in school like usual but for the first time in his life, he was excited to be there and it was all because the popular kid in school is sitting beside him.

     Class hasn't even started yet but he was already in class, waiting anxiously for the person beside him to arrive. He was beginning to feel bored after waiting for 5 minutes but the rest of the class soon entered, including the person he had been waiting for. Smiling widely and greeting the boy, he couldn't help but admit that he hoped the teacher came in earlier so that they had more time to do the group project that could allow him to talk to the boy.

     The atmosphere around the two were awkward until the teacher finally entered. His eyes immediately went wide upon seeing a familiar figure behind the teacher. When the male saw Renjun, he smirked at him before turning back and returned to his emotionless face when his name was called.

"Listen up class, there is a new student who will be joining your class. Please introduce yourself.": Mr. Nakamoto said before moving a step backward so that the students can pay attention to the tall male.

"Nice to meet you, my name is (L/N) (M/N), it's a pleasure to meet you and I hope we can get along.": he said and bowed before looking at Renjun who wad dumbfounded.

     The boy had managed to lie to himself that the events of last night was all a dream and that the boy never existed, but when (M/N) is now in his class, he couldn't do anything but to face reality. And it was all because he made a mistake by wishing to the fountain. He doesn't even know weather the appearance of the boy was a good thing or bad bad thing because who knows, maybe being a guardian and all was just a lie and that he is just a demon waiting to consume his soul.

"Welcome (M/N), you may take a seat beside Jeno.": Mr.Nakamoto instructed as he pointed at the blonde boy.

     Without another word, the boy slowly made his way towards his seat. The place he was suppose to be was just behind Renjun and when he walked by, the boy suddenly felt cold before a chill went down his spine. When the boy was settled in his seat, Renjun could feel that the boy behind him was staring at him but he doesn't dare to look behind him.

"Alright class, you may begin the project with your partner.": the science teacher said before sitting down and played with his phone.

"Hey (M/N), i-"

"Nice to meet you Jeno.": the male smiled at him before opening the box that was on the table.

"How did you know my name?": he asked in utter shock.

"Mr. Nakamoto said your name just now."

"Oh right.": he chuckled in embarrassment.

     The two had managed to finish the project within half an hour and is now sitting idle in their seats, waiting for the rest of the class to finish as well. When the students noticed this, they immediately asked for their help, some were confused on how to do it while some just wanted to talk to the handsome new boy.

"Hey (M/N), do you mind helping us out? We're kinda stuck here.": Jaemin called to the boy.

     Out of panic, Renjun hit the boy's arm, not wanting (M/N) to come near them but it was too late as he is already standing in front of them. With the boy's help, the two managed to complete the project in time.

     Thinking that it was all over and he would finally be away from the boy during lunch break, Renjun felt relieved until Jaemin spoke up.

"Hey Renjun, wanna join me for lunch break? (Y/N) could come along too.": he asked.
