Renjun's P.O.V:
Before the alarm even rang, I was already wide awake with a huge smile on my face. It was finally the day where I get to hang out with my crush and I couldn't help but get excited.

Waking up earlier than usual weekends, I brushed my teeth and took a shower. Styling my hair in a hopefully not nerdy style, I walked into the living room and saw (Y/N) cooking in the kitchen.

"Good morning Renjun,"

"Did you even sleep last night?": I asked.

"I don't need sleep.": he smiled.

"Right.... "

"I see you're all ready for the assignment with Jaemin later.": he smirked while scanning me up and down.

"What? Too much?": I raised an eyebrow and looked at him.

"Oh no, you just look more decent for once.": he chuckled, making me throw the object that was within range, which was a tissue box.

He swiftly caught it in his hands without blinking, that sly smirk still on his face.

"Alright, enough fooling around and eat your breakfast.": he told me and placed down a plate of bacon and eggs.

When I was done, I went and packed the books I needed to bring over and got ready to head out.Even though I decided to head there by myself, (Y/N) insisted that he wanted to come along with me and said that he had nothing to do so I let him.

We walked for a few minutes and soon arrived at the bus station. We waited for another few minutes for the bus to arrive and sat at the empty seats at the back.

Arriving at the "rich side" of the city, we both got out and followed the address that Jaemin sent me. I was shocked but not surprised that he lived in a mansion cause his family was rich. That was also the reason that if he were to cause trouble, which he rarely ever did, the teachers wouldn't dare say anything about it as they could be easily fired.

Taking a deep breath, I raised my shaky hand to press the bell but stopped midway when a thought suddenly came into my mind.

"Does he really need me to finish the assignment? What if he was just playing with me and didn't actually want me to come over?": I thought about it and retracted my hand but a hand placed on my shoulder, reassuring me.

"Go in kid, I can feel he's excited to see you.": he told me while looking at the second floor window.

"How do you know?": I asked and turned to look at him.

"I can feel it.": he told me before urging me to press the bell which I did.

"Good luck.": he winked at me when the gate opened, revealing a smiling Jaemin who was running towards me.

"Hi Renjun! Glad you could make it.": he said while smiling, making my heart skip a beat.

"Uhmm Jaemin, do you mind if (M/N) tags along?": I pointed beside me and Jaemin tilted his head before looking around.

"(M/N)'s here?": he asked and I turned to look beside me and saw nothing.

"Thank you for making things awkward again you idiot.": I mentally faced palmed before chuckling.

"Uhhh n-nothing, we should probably go discuss abut the assignment.": I changed the subject and he nodded before leading the way.

(Past) 3rd Person P.O.V:

"I'm scared (M/N), what if she doesn't like me?": the young prince said with worry.

"I assure you that she wouldn't your Majesty. Just approach her in a friendly way.": his bodyguard reassured him.

"O-okay...I'll go now...": he said and slowly walked towards the girl while (Y/N) hid behind a wall and listened to what he was about to say.

"You. I command you to be my friend.": the young prince commanded instead of asking, making (M/N) face palm.

"Eh heh sorry miss but what his majesty meant was that he wishes that you could be his friend.": (M/N) explained.

Upon realizing that a member of the royal family was talking to her, she immediately knelt down.

"Oh please stand up miss, there is no need for that.": (M/N) said while helping her to stand up.

"I will do as you command your majesty, please forgive me.": she apologized.

"There is no need for apologies miss, he doesn't fully know how to speak normally.": (M/N) explained.

"I promise that he meant no bad intentions.": he reassured before gently patting the younger on the shoulder.

Getting the signal, the young prince handed out a bag of rice and some bread.

"For your village and family...": he mumbled, clearly embarrassed.

"Thank you so much your majesty.": the girl thanked the prince and hugged the him.

Due to not having such contacts with anyone in the kingdom, the prince was oblivious of what to do as he just stood there frozen. He turned his head to look at the bodyguard with his flushed face, making (Y/N) cover his mouth to cover his laughter but turned serious when the prince glared at him.

Clearing his throat to signal the girl to let go which she did, the young prince was the first one to pull away quickly and brush off the imaginary dust off his clothes. The girl lowered her head and twirled with her fingers, mumbling an apology.

"Now we should probably get going now. Hope to see you next time miss.": (M/N) said before pushing the prince out with him, leaving the girl alone.

"Too rude.": (M/N) commented and shook his head.

"I just don't understand why they always give me pity apologies.": he crossed his arms.

"Its because they could easily get their whole family killed if they didn't talk to you in a proper manner.": (M/N) explained but the prince didn't seem to listen.

"I wanna eat Tanghulu.": he said before walking away, leaving his bodyguard behind.

"Yah, why do you never listen?!": (M/N) asked in frustration as he ran to catch up with the younger who was struggling to get up onto the horse due to his height.

"Darn you for being tall horse!": he scolded the horse, making (M/N) laugh as he helped him get on the horse and rode to the market under the rays of the sunset with (M/N) explaining everything about the world outside of the kingdom.
