"So?": Renjun looked at them with a raised eyebrow.

Taeil took his time and observed them before sighing and slowly shook his head.

"I'm sorry but rules are rules, I cannot change it.": he said before throwing a knife that can only kill guardians into (M/N)'s chest, making him fall to the ground.

"No!": the younger screamed as his legs went numb bit he didn't care, scrambling near the taller to hold his weak body in his arms.

"Let them have their last time alone...": Taeil said and Johnny released the chains before disappearing with them, leaving the two alone.

"No no no no.... This is not happening again. Don't die on me please!": Renjun begged with tears falling down as he tried to stop the bleeding but to no avail, staining his sleeves and hands with the golden liquid.

"Don't cry. You look ugly when you cry.": (M/N) raised his hand to wipe away the tears, smearing a bit of blood onto his cheek.

"Stop making up jokes (M/N)! This is not the time!"

"It's my last remaining time anyways.": he said and smiled. "I'm glad that fate brought us to meet again Renjun. I've missed you so much and I'm happy."

"I should be the one to say that to you! My grandma left me and now you... I never even got the chance to say I love you."

"That's okay...I know it in your heart.": he said and cupped his cheek with his cold hand.

"Promise me something?": (M/N) looked him in the eyes, changing the subject.

He needed to tell him before it's too late, half of his body has disintegrated and he doesn't have much time left.

"Don't forget about me and find me in my next life?": he held the shorter's quivering hands in his.

"(M/N)- I-"

"Just promise me this okay? I love you and always will even in my next life.": he smiled and soon...disappeared out of this world.

1 Year Later:
"Hi ma'am, what can I get for you?": he asked the lady who walked in without looking up at her.

"Hi can I get an iced coffee and a cup of warm milk? Little Hyunnie here has been crying.": she said, and upon looking up, he sees the cute baby in her hands.

The baby has a small mole located just under his eye and Renjun instantly knew.....

He had found him.....

"Hey there buddy.": Renjun reached his hand out to rub his finger on the boy's chubby cheeks.

The baby then instantly stop crying and is now cooing happily, wrapping Renjun's finger in his tiny hands with a huge smile that looked exactly like (M/N)'s.

"What's his name?": he asked.

"Min Hyun, sorry to trouble you. He can really be a hassle at times.": the mother said.

"Oh it was no problem."

"Min Hyun huh.": he whispered under his breath.

When their orders arrived, Renjun handed it to them and watched them exit the door. Little Min Hyun looked over his mother's shoulders and kept staring at Renjun, tears in his eyes as he reached out his small hand.

"We'll meet again someday...": he told the boy in his thoughts while waving goodbye at him.
