Fast forward two days, it was five am, and me and Pandora were getting ready to pick up the rest of the group.
"Tell me again why we have to be up at this ungodly hour?" My sister moaned, as I attempted to shove the umbrella into the backseat.
"Ermioni is an hour and a half away, then the hour long boat ride, and then the thirty minutes or so it'll take us to actually get to the beach. We'll get there at eight, giving us plenty of time to relax."
Pandora grumbled something under her breath, taking a sip of her whipped coffee, as I drove out of the small driveway.
About five minutes later, Anastasios popped his head out of the small concrete building, I had parked in front of and gave us a bright smile.
"Hey guys!" He said, as he slid into the back seat, tossing his grey bag into the trunk.
"Hey," I responded, giving him a sweet smile. "You know where Cyia and Caesar live, right?"
"Obviously. Turn left up here" he said, as I pushed the wheel to the left, jerking the car east.
"You're a great driver" Pandora said, sarcastically, giving me an annoyed shove "I feel totally safe right now."
"Shut up."
Anastasios gave me a few more directions and soon enough we had made it to a dark brown apartment-like complex to the north of town.
"Eeeee!!" Cyia came running out of her apartment, beach towel in hand, before I had even parked the car.
"It has been fucking forever!!!" She squealed, hopping into the back with Tasios "Babe! They're here!"
A lean figure came scurrying out of the one bedroom apartment, eyes lighting up when he saw us. Ten minutes and two thousand hugs later, we had finally collected everyone but Ophelia and Athena.
I pulled into my best friends driveway, as blonde hair snapped in the doorway, and Ophelia stepped out.
"Ophelia?" We all looked up in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, uh, um.. nothing, me and Athena just slept toge- I mean over, slept ove-"
"Hey guys!" Thea popped her head out from behind the house, as she walked over to the van. "Morning! Phelia, you coming?"
"Oh, uh, ya!" She ran over to the car and swept us all up in a hug, laughing about how much Pandora and I had missed.
"Let's get some Katy Perry up in this bitchhhh!" Caesar screamed from the back of the car, as Pandora pressed play on "California Girls".
"So how have you two been?" I asked, glancing in the mirror at Cyia and Ceasar.
"Oh we're good." Cyia said, as she smiled and looped her arm around his, and snuggled into his chest. "We, uh we're dating as most of you know. We uhm, also moved in together last month."
"Oh that's great you guys!" Pandora said, turning around in her seat.
We talked on and on, all through the drive, as we blasted our favourite tunes, and broke the speed limit.
When we had finally made it to the ferry, it only took Athena fifteen minutes to puke on a stranger, and Pandora following close behind at twenty.
The boat ride was not fun.
Finally on land once again, it was rather hard to find a good spot of beach. We drove around for maybe an hour, before we found the perfect spot. It was nice and wavy, completely empty, and looked straight out of a movie.
We quickly parked our car, and scrambled down to the beach, setting up umbrellas and laying out blankets.
"This is awesome." Ophelia mumbled from the sand, as she soaked up the warm sun.
"I know right," I said, laying my towel down onto the sand. "Couldn't do this in Cincinnati." I sighed
Just then, I heard a yell from down by the water. "Guys, look what I found!" Thea screamed, as she waved us over.
"What is it?"
"Just come here!"
We all jogged over to where she was yelling, just as she yanked open a wooden door. "It's an abandoned lighthouse! This is so cool!"
"Oh my god. Are you sure that's safe?!"
I dashed over to where she was standing, as she slipped inside and up the stairs. Stepping in after her, I noticed how absolutely beautiful it was. The slats in the roof were parted just enough you could see through them, and hundreds of flowers lined not only the sandy floor, but the dusty wooden stairs. It was clear that this had been spruced up before it was forgotten about, I thought as I started up the stairs, everyone following behind us, careful and curious.
When we finally reached the top, the view took our breath away, as you could see the ocean for miles. It was so beautiful and romantic.
"I'm hungry." Someone said.
"Ugh, same." The group turned and started back down the stairs, before noticing I wasn't trailing along after them.
"You coming?" Thea asked, from the stairs.
"Uh ya. I'll be down in sec, don't wait up for me."
I turned back to the window, as the waves splashed up against the shore, the view captivating me once again. Turning to walk back down the stairs, I suddenly noticed that Tasio had appeared behind me.
"Hey." He said, smiling at me.
"Hey. What's up?" I asked, turning to look at him
"Oh, nothing."
We sat in silence for a few minutes, before he grabbed my hand gently, staring deeply into my dark brown eyes.
His hands slowly found my waist,my heart rate increasing, and his lips parting slowly , as a smile spread across his face. I leaned into him carefully, taking his face smoothly in my hands.
"You have no idea how long i've wanted to do this" He whispered, as I giggled softly, leaning into his chest.
