It was twelve AM when I opened my phone, and proceeded to text Tasios. Truth be told I had no idea what to say. My fingers began to tap away at the screen, the keyboard clicking with every press. I finally decided on "You up?"

I bit my nails with guilt as I pondered over the possible outcomes. I knew I had hurt his feelings, and obviously with no good reason- I should've known my friends weren't those types of people. I sat in the dark for a few more minutes before my phone beeped his reply.

"Ya."

He continued to type.

"Btw I'm sorry about the beach. I know how hard it must be for you to be bi, and I can understand if you don't want to be in a relationship with me. I should've asked first, so I apologize if I made you uncomfortable, or like completely fucked up our friendship"

That made my heart pang for him.

"Can we call?"

"Sure."

I pressed the small phone icon on the top of his profile and awaited his acceptance to our video chat.

"Hey." I smiled, in both embarrassment and sympathy.

"Hey."

We sat in the dark, not talking for many minutes before I got up the courage to speak.

"I saw this great seafood place downtown.." I said, looking up at him, not wanting to cross a line. After all, I hadn't even apologized yet.

"Oh ya?"

"Do you wanna catch a movie and get dinner together sometime soon?" My cheeks flushed red as he smiled, his hand pushing through his hair.

"That would be awesome." He said, pausing, to let a smirk fall across his face "Pick you up at seven tomorrow?"

"Sure." I couldn't help but grin ear to ear as we spoke on and on into the night. When I finally hung up the call, it was two AM, and I was tired as fuck.

I threw my head into my soft white pillow, just as my phone dinged once more. Looking over at the cracked screen I realized it was Tas again.

"Sweet dreams : )"

"sweet dreams 💝" I texted back my reply

I couldn't help but think of him as I fell asleep, couldn't help but think of everything that had happened today. That's when I remembered something odd. I guess I never really thought much of it, but when we went to pick up Athena, Ophelia was there. That may not be too strange, on its own, but when Phelia stuttered out a long and frankly odd answer, I began to realize something I had overlooked, not taking too much note of. I couldn't help but speak out loud, as the realization hit me.

"Are Athena and Ophelia sleeping together?"

I had just woken up, dashing out the front door, a slice of banana cake parcelled in my purse. Today I was wearing a bright red crop top and a cute black skirt, gifted to me by Pandora, gold hoops hanging from my ears and cute red flats on my feet. I had made sure to slip my hair in a cute braided bun- the perfect outfit for an apology.

Had never given him the apology he deserved. Plus- I had a question to ask him. An important one.

I thought over the whole situation as I trotted down town, past street vendors and aggressive bike riders. Nafplio may be cute, but it was sure as hell crowded.

Stepping out of the busy street and up to Tasio's house, I rapped on the concrete door, shuffling around awkwardly on the doorstep. Less than five seconds after I had knocked, his sister opened the door, her eyes beaming at this sight of me.

"Ah! Nai, sas leípei! ach to moró mou, to paidí mou, to thávma mas! Come in, please come in!" She swept me up in a huge warm hug, before closing the door behind me.

"Tasio!" She hollered up the stairs. "Circe is here!"

I heard a pounding on the stairs, as Anastasios threw himself off the landing. "Hey! Circe! I didn't expect you to be over so soon? I thought I was supposed to be picking you up at seve-"

"Uhm ya. This is...something different."

"Oh uh, come on up then! We can sit on my balcony."

I smiled, and took off my shoes at the door, beginning to make my way up the concrete stairs.

"Sorry, it's a bit messy." He said, as I walked into his room. T-shirts were strewn all over the floor, water bottles and pop cans resting on almost every possible ledge of shelf in the entire room.

He slid open his balcony door, letting me walk in front, and opening up two plastic lawn chairs.

"So," he said, as he sat down turning to face me. "Whats up?"

"Well, first of all, I brought cake." I slipped out the piece of banana cake I had made the day before, still fresh and new. "I never got a chance to actually apologize to you. I overreacted, and with no good reason. I should've known my friends aren't those types of people. Secondly..." I paused looking up at him as he stuffed his face with cake. "I need to ask you something. And,-and I totally get it, if you, ya know dont feel the same, but we're really close, and listen I really like you, and well I was wondering if you wanted to start d-"

CRASH

I spun around in my chair almost immediately, as a smooth pebble went flying into the window right above us, completely shattering the glass, and tumbling down towards us.

"Holy shit"
