My week in the hospital went by slowly, with me just staring at the wall doing nothing. My only company being Connor or an occasional nurse.

I don't have any family here in Detroit. They all live in other areas, where I have no contact with them.

I yawn and stretch my muscles and aching bones. 'Damn, I'm getting old.' I glance over toward the clock, watching the hand tick by.

'8:26.' I was to be released at nine o'clock as I have made substantial progress in healing this past week.

Since I haven't done any hefty work, or haven't been to work in general, it has given me enough time for my body to heal. Although, the doctors still requested that I don't go back to work until about a week before the stitches were to be removed.

I sigh and rub the sleep from my eyes. Not being at work until the stitches were to be removed meant another six weeks out, and I simply couldn't do that.

Even if I have to do work from home-or rather from Connor and Hank's home-I would. I simply did not just want to sleep or watch TV all day.

Being in the hospital is one thing, but being at an apartment or house meant another.

Even just cleaning-even if it's my least favorite thing-I would happily do. If it meant I got my body moving.

The doorknob twists, and Connor enters the room, my clothing in his hands.

"Detective." Connor smirks and nods his head at me, making me blush. 'How can an android be so fucking attractive?'

Connor sets my clothes down on the bed before seating himself. "I'd advise you get changed before you get released. Can't have you walking out in that gown, now would we?" Connor winks at me and tugs at the sleeve of the patient gown, causing my blush to worsen.

I scoff and look away from him. "Of-of course not." I stand up with the aid of Connor, and grab my clothes heading over to the bathroom.

"Damn, I was really hoping you would change in here." I scowl and shut the bathroom door, leaning against it and letting out a sigh.

I don't know why Connor is being so flirtatious now, but since that-kiss-almost happened, he's been more flirtatious in his words.

I grab my outfit from off the counter and start to change. I slip on my socks first, knowing that is more of a pain than anything else. I then slip off the patient gown and slip on a pair of boxers and my pants.

I look at my still bandaged torso, sighing gently. That gash that damned deviant gave me is pretty deep, and is still painful.

Just staring at it causes it to ache.

I look away and grab my shirt, slipping it on over my torso, and I grab the patient gown, tossing it into the hamper residing next to the sink.

I grab the toothbrush provided by the hospital, and start to brush my teeth.

After brushing my teeth and doing my other business, I walk out of the bathroom and back over to my bed where Connor is.

He's currently staring outside the window again.

"Hey, Connor. Ready?" Connor glances over to me and nods his head. He stands up and walks over to me, wrapping his arm around my waist to help provide balance for me to walk.

I huff gently as he helps aid me to the elevator. We both step inside simultaneously, and he presses the button for the first floor, or ground level.

I lean against the wall and wait for the elevator to stop as a nauseous feeling hits my stomach.

I hover my hand over my abdomen, not touching it, and place a hand over my mouth. I seriously don't want to puke now. Not in this elevator, and especially not in front of Connor.

"Alright Mr. Reed. You're all set and ready to go." I nod my head at the receptionist, and hand her back her pen, before allowing Connor to wrap his arm back around my waist to help support me.

I glance at the woman. "Thank you for taking care of me." I bow my head slightly, and allow Connor to guide me out of the hospital and over to my car.

Now it's time for the painful ride back home. My eyes widen. 'No, not home. Back to their apartment.'

I groan as Connor helps me sit down on the couch inside Hank and Connor's apartment. The couch being a lot more comfy than that rugged hospital bed.

Connor passes me the remote to the TV and announces he's going to make something to eat-even though it's only 10:20 in the morning.

I start to flip through the TV channels, preferably searching for the news channel.

I'd like to see any information on the deviants since I was in the hospital for so long.

Connor returns with a sandwich setting on a plate, and sets it down in my lap as I flip to the news channel.

Connor seats himself next to me and intently stares at the TV. 'I guess he's analyzing.' I snicker as I take a bite of my sandwich. The invasive taste of ham and mustard taking over my tastebuds, making me release a moan.

I missed even foods as cheap as this.

Connor chuckles gently and leans back against the couch. 'Even for an android he's so handsome.'

I glance away and continue to munch on my sandwich while watching the news.

Nothing interesting happening. Just the annoying lady talking about Markus and his group, and how androids have freedom now.

All old news. Guess they didn't have anything new to talk about.

"Hey, Detective?" I glance over at Connor and swallow my bite of my sandwich.

"Yes, Connor?" I quirk my eyebrow as Connor turns toward me.

He bites his lip, and I can't help but stare intently at it.

"Have you noticed that for the past week you haven't called me tin can or dipshit?"
