I woke up in a jail cell, shoulder bandaged. I ran my fingers over the precise bandaging.
"Ow." I muttered.
"You're up." Chris said.
I glanced at him. "Hey."
"You okay, K?" He asked, using the old nickname from when we dated.
"I always am." I stood.
"But... Jonas hit you hard..."
"He always does. Can I leave?"
"Jonas doesn't want you to get out... he says you'll run off again."
"I ran off to find you." I said, laying a hand on the bar. "Please? I hate this place."
"I know." He sighed, but unlocked the cell.
I slipped out and hugged him. "Thank you, Chris."
He gently hugged back. "No problem, K. Now get going. I know you probably have stuff to do."
I smiled and left the prison, immediately going to my room and pulling the bomb out. It would go off in thirty minutes, long enough for me to get out and get everyone I wanted out of here, out. I placed it under my bed, then ran out of my room.
"Pyro!" I yelled, hoping she would hear me.
No answer.
"PYRO!"
Still nothing.
"Shadow?"
D came by. "They're with Vee at the ninja place."
"Thank god." I muttered. "Listen, D. You have to get out of here. Walk away and never look back. Something really bad is gonna happen, and you have to go. Please."
"Kat." D said gently. "You're losing it. Let's go to the hospital wing, okay?"
"I'm not crazy!" I exclaimed.
"You're not," he responded. "But you need to come with me."
"No!" I ran from him, looking for Chris.
I found him in the weapons room.
"Chris?" I asked.
"Yes?"
"We have to go. Now."
"Why?" He asked.
"Can you... please just trust me?" I asked, grabbing his arm. "Please?"
"Okay, Kat. Let's go."
I led him outside, far enough away that the explosion wouldn't hurt us.
"What are we doing?" He asked.
"Remember how I asked if you wanted to blow up a building with me?" I responded.
"Yes- Kat! You can't do this!"
"I already did." I whispered. "Stay here."
I walked toward the building. Two steps away from the door, the bomb went off.
Everything went black.
