"Go on! Wake her up!" Shadow urged.

"I don't know...." I said back.

"Come on! She has to make breakfast."

"Okay." I walked over to Katara's bed.

"Uh, Kat... It's time to wake up." I poked her shoulder.

A knife sailed through the air, missing me by less than an inch. It sank hilt deep in the wall. I fell to the floor and burst into tears. She said she didn't want to hurt me! Katara sat up quickly, another knife sliding into her hand. She took one look at me and laid the knife on the bed.

"What happened?" She asked me softly, kneeling to my height.

"I t-touched you, a-and you threw a knife a-at me!" I wailed.

"Niall."

"Y-yes?"

"Did I hit you?"

"N-no...."

"Then you will be okay. Just don't touch me while I'm asleep."

"Okay."

Shadow had finally gotten over her laughing fit. "The look on your face!"

"Shadow, is that something to laugh about?" Kat scolded her.

"Yes."

"Shadow."

"No?"

"Apologize."

"But if I say sorry, it would be a lie."

"Say it."

"Sorry Niall." She muttered.

"It's okay?" I said.

"Alright, I'll be back in about ten minutes, don't break anything." Kat walked into the kitchen.

Shadow reached for the knife.

"Shadow, I still hafe the cameras up!" Kat called.

How did she know Shadow was trying for her dagger? Shadow sighed and grumbled something about Kat not letting her do anything anymore. Pyro was staring at a bug. She caught it in her hand, torched it, and ate it. I stared at her. Why did she EAT the bug? They were gross! Nothing at all like Nandos! I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I groaned.

"What's wrong Niall?" Kat asked, knocking on the door lightly.

"My roots are showing!"

"Niall's a tree?" Pyro asked.

"No Pyro, he isn't a tree. Niall, I'll fix it after breakfast. Come on, breakfast is ready."

"You have blond hair dye?" I couldn't imagine Kat with blond hair.

"I hafe pink hair dye. Now come on if you're going to eat!"

I came out of the bathroom. Kat was awesome. After you got to know her, she was nice. You just had to get past the walls she put up to protect herself from being hurt. I knew she still didn't completely trust me. It would take years for that. She did relax slightly when it was just us talking in a normal conversation though. I quickly ate my breakfast. Right after I put my plate in the sink, she took my hand and led me to the bathroom. She pulled a box of hair dye out of the cabinet.

"Permanent dye?" She asked.

"Yes." I replied.

She wrapped a towel around my neck. She gently bent me over the tub. She turned the knob for the shower and tested it. She grabbes the shower head and got my hair wet. It wasn't the most comfortable position in the world. She put the dye stuff in and allowed me to get up. She pointed to the toilet.
