(Past) 6 Years Ago
Jinyoung and I got to the hospital, and my eyes were filled with tears. Jinyoung's arm was around me to give me support. We saw some police officers and I ran up to them. "My dad... Where is he?" I asked panicked. Their faces sadden, and my eyes widen. "What?" I asked them.
"Yoojung-ah..." Jinyoung pulled me into a hug. I heard the doors open and I turned to see the doctor.
"Doctor!" I went up to him. "I'm Lee Yoojung. My father was sent here, Lee Seungho. Is he okay?" I asked nervously.
The doctor's face saddens. "I'm sorry. Your father didn't make it through surgery. He had internal bleeding and we couldn't get the bleeding to stop."
I just shook my head. "N-no... no... You're lying.... Please tell me you're lying!" I begged the doctor. He just stayed silent. I begin to cry and Jinyoung pulls me into a hug. I cried into his chest. "We were supposed to hang out this weekend..." I sobbed. For the first time in weeks, my dad had made time so he and I could spend time together. He's gone now. "Jinyoung..." I cried.
"Shh..." He sways me.
After a couple days, we had a funeral for my dad and I couldn't stop crying. Many people came to see him. I was hugged by people I never knew. People came from all over. They told me how thankful they were of my dad for saving them. All stories from how he saved their lives. This hurt even more. I was glad that in the time he wasn't able to spend with me, he was out helping many others. I just hated the fact that when he was finally able to schedule time with me, it never got to happen. Without him, my life was nothing. My mom left my dad and I when I was still a little girl. So, she was never in the picture.
I felt myself become harder and harder to read. Even Jinyoung was having a trouble trying to figure out what I was thinking, and he doesn't usually struggle with that.
That same night, Jinyoung left to go home and I sat in my room. Head to my knees as I cried silently. I heard the doorbell and I slowly got up to answer it.
I opened the door confused by the man standing in front of me. "Can I help you?" I asked as I sniffled. I knew my eyes were all red and puffy.
"Ma'am I have an offer to give you." He spoke.
I chuckled a bit. "In the middle of the night?"
"Sorry ma'am." He laughs. "But there's a reason for that. The offer is to join the SS of BigHit."
"SS?"
"It's a Secret Society. Not many people know about it."
"Go on." I tell him.
He nods, "We currently have 300,000 members, but they are in different sectors and all over the world. I'm in the top group." He explained.
"What do you do?" I asked.
"We... kill certain people that we are ordered to." My eye widen. "It's usually people who get targeted by someone because they did something bad to that person. So, like the people who call us to kill someone are wanting revenge on them. It helps with stress sometimes." He looks at me like he was reading me. "I can see you're mad and greatly sad about something."
"Cops aren't so smart..." I told him. "They got my father killed."
He gives me a sad look. and reaches to hold my hand. "Join us and you will never be alone. There are plenty of us. We all become professions in three and a half years."
