After that night we had a meeting, and everyone agreed to leave all weapons behind at the base. Today went a lot better, and everyone made sure to gain Hoseok's trust again.
I knocked onto the office door. When I walked in, I see him rubbing his face in frustration. He lets out a sigh and looks up at me. "Need something?" He asked softly. I just shook my head and walked closer to him. Hoseok and I had some kind of bond that I couldn't explain. We had been close ever since I joined.
I sat onto his desk and looked down at him. "Do you need something?" I asked him as I put my hands on his face and make him look up at me.
He whispers, "I need..." Hoseok doesn't finish his sentence and gulps. He moves away from me and clears his throat. "I need to figure out how and where we will be finding our targets and plan everything out."
I sighed and crossed my right leg over my left. "You are really stubborn."
"What?"
I rolled my eyes and leaned towards him. My hands resting on his shoulders. We stared into each other's eyes. "Break time. Come on." I forced him out of the office and into the kitchen. "I will help you after. What do you want to eat?" I looked over at him.
"Mmm... Surprise me." He gives a soft smile.
I just nod and turn. I make some pasta and bread. I put it in front of him and sit next to him. I watched as him took a bite. Hoseok looks at me and smiles. "It tastes great." I smiled and began to eat. "So... about the targets..." He started, and I glance at him, as I took a drink of water.
"What about them?" I asked.
"Do you think you can do it?" He asked me. I sighed. "I need to know Nicole."
I sighed. "I can do it..."
"You don't seem so sure."
"I... just don't think I can do Jinyoung..." I told him honestly. "He is someone I cared for back then."
"Then, we'll leave you out of that mission." Hoseok spoke.
"But Hobi-"
"Nicole, what do you want? Do you want to do it or not?" Hoseok looks at me seriously. I sighed. I knew he was just stressed out by planning everything. "Do you want to try?" He asks me.
"I-I don't know..." I tell him.
Hoseok sighs and turns me to fully look at him. "Nicole..."
"Hobi... I..."
"How about we just try... If you can't... We will plan something different." He tells me. I sigh and the nod.
"I will try."
He gives me a smile. "Let's finish eating and then figure out our plan for them." I nod and turn back to my food.
When we finished the meal, we went back to the office and looked at the files. "What did you get so far?" I asked him.
"So... Jackson seems to like clubbing a lot. He goes like everyday sometimes every two." Hoseok says pointing at Jackson's picture.
"We'll send Jiyeon to deal with him." I tell him. Hoseok nods. "And Yugyeom?" I asked.
"Yugyeom is a doctor. I was thinking about sending V and Jen for that one."
"That's a good idea. V can get pretty scary." I spoke.
"And then Youngjae... I can't find where he works, but... I found him on a dating app." Hoseok looks at me. "We can send Chae on that. She's pretty good at the dating apps. Then, there's Jaebeom, who goes by Jb. He is an owner to a convenient store. I figured you could take care of that one. I'll have Jess distract him, while Suga hacks the cameras."
I nodded. "And... Jinyoung?"
Hoseok sighs, looking back at the papers. "That's why I needed to know if you thought you could do it or not. Do you think you could do it while he's asleep?"
I looked at him. "Hobi... Like I said before... I will try. I will try to keep my emotions out of it." I sighed. "But I can't promise you that I will be able to accomplish it."
Hoseok nods. "I know." Hoseok sighs and the glances at the door. "Which is why we will need a back up if that were to happen. But what I need from you right now is to help me plan the other four."
"Right." I nodded.
"Now... We need to figure out when Jackson will be at the club. We can start next week. When everyone is back, we will have a meeting over everything." Hoseok explains.
"When Jackson is at the club... Are you wanting us to start inside with him or outside, when he leaves?" I asked. I thought about what would be best. "I personally think that we should meet with him outside. It'll keep others inside from seeing."
Hoseok nods. "That sounds good." He writes the notes down.
We planned on how we would get to each target, when the office phone began to ring. Hoseok looks at it and then answers, putting it on speaker. "Yes Chim."
"Uhm... Hyung... We have a problem." Jimin sounded nervous.
"What's wrong?" Hoseok asked putting his pen down.
"Hyung, there's a cop following us." Taehyung spoke.
"What?" Hoseok stood up.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes. It's an actual police car." Jimin answered. "I don't know why there are following us. We just went out for lunch!"
"Chae." I spoke.
"Yes unnie?" Chaeyoung answered.
"What do they look like? Do they look like the police from the other night?" I asked.
"Uhm..." I waited for her response. "No. They don't look familiar."
I sighed. "Are you sure they are actually following you? Or are they just driving?"
"Well, we've been driving different ways, and they keep turning with us." Chaeyoung says.
"Have you tried stopping at a gas station or something?" Hoseok asked.
"We can..."
"If they keep following after, call me back. We'll try to figure something out." Hoseok tells them.
"Okay oppa. I'll keep in touch." Chaeyoung hangs up the phone.
Hoseok sighs and runs his hand through his hair. "There's always something..." Hoseok groans. "Literally they haven't gotten traces of us since this whole thing started. How the hell are they suddenly getting on us? It doesn't make sense..."
"I don't know Hobi..." Was all I could tell him. I also had no idea when the cops suddenly had a lead on us.
