I walked out of the cabin, and let out a heavy breath. I could hear Hoseok follow me. "Nicole wait." He called out.
I scoffed. "Leave me alone." I angrily put my hand in my jacket pocket, and pulled out my earpiece. I put it back into my ear and tried to listen. There was no noise. "Hello?" I spoke. I continued walking, trying to get better signal.
"Nicole, come on..." Hoseok spoke. I stayed quiet. "Please talk to me." He got next to me. "Nicole, I'm sorry. Just talk to me."
"Hobi, shut up. I'm trying to listen. Put yours back in already." I rolled my eyes. Hoseok sighed and does what I said. He put the earpiece into his ear.
"Will you please just-"
"I don't want to talk to you at the moment." I interrupted him.
Then suddenly, we got something.
We heard a voice in our earpiece. "Ni-ole? Hobi?" It was very staticky.
I gasped, and quickly respond. "Hello?"
"O-oh... Th-than-k g-d..." The voice kept cutting out. "Ar- you gu-ys ok-y?"
"Hobi was shot in the arm... We need to get back as soon as we can." I answered.
"Fu-k... Ok-ay... L-isten. Y-ou n-ed to get b-ck t-o the st-ore... It--- be ri-sky... but... it-- the on-ly wa-y to g-et to y-u gu-s.." They kept cutting out, but we understood it more or less.
I sighed and glanced at Hoseok. "I understand... We'll be there as soon as we can." We continued to walk back towards the store. We saw cops there from the distance.
"Stay hidden with the trees." Hoseok spoke.
"Oh, I see you guys!" The voice in our earpiece spoke. We finally realized it was Eunjung I was speaking to. "There are cops all around the store, but we are out behind a little ways. When you get close enough we will let you know when it's safe to run over." As we got closer to the store, Hoseok and I stayed behind the trees. We waited for the signal that it was clear to run to the van. After awhile Eunjung spoke. "Okay, come a little closer now." Hoseok and I ran down behind a few trees. "Okay, hurry!"
Just as we were about to run, Hoseok was pushed and knocked into the ground and someone roughly grabbed my arm. I looked up to see Jinyoung. Eunjung, Hana, Jessica, and Yoongi ran out of the van in attempt to help. Eunjung and Jessica helped Hoseok up. Yoongi and Hana try to run to me, but Jinyoung yells at them. "Stop! If you want nothing to happen to her, you'll cooperate." Yoongi and Hana stop where they were and look at me. I give them a sad smile, and shake my head, telling them to just stay there.
Jinyoung pulls me away, and I hear Hoseok yelling after us. "Hey! Give her back you little shit!" I turned my head to see Yoongi holding Hoseok back. They were trying to talk some sense into him. I could already tell that he wasn't listening. I turned my head away from them. I saw the other cops running passed me and going after them.
"Shit! Come on, we have to go now! We'll get her back!" I heard them yelling.
I closed my eyes, and tilt my head down letting my hair cover my face. I tried to get out of his grip, but Jinyoung doesn't budge. He turns me and moves me to face him. Jinyoung froze as he looked at my face. That's when I remembered that I didn't have my glasses anymore. "Y-Yoojung?" He lets out a gasp. "I-is that really you?"
I didn't answer.
I tried to get away again, but he just made his grip on my tighter. Jinyoung turns me around, so I can walk properly. "We'll talk later." He says walking me to the police car. I gave up trying to fight against him. He opened the backseat doors and guided me inside. Jinyoung gets into the driver's seat and began driving. I looked out the window, biting the inside of my lip. I secretly pulled out my earpiece, and slowly slipped it into my shoe. I turned and saw Jinyoung glancing at me through the rear view mirror. I quickly looked away.
After awhile, we arrived at the police station. Jinyoung got out of the car, and two other cops came running out. When they opened the car door, Jinyoung got scolded. "Yah! She's a dangerous killer! Why the hell is she not cuffed?!"
"S-sorry sir... I was caught off guard..." Jinyoung apologizes.
I actually felt myself getting scared once again. I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts when I was roughly dragged out of the car. I let out a little yelp. "Shut the fuck up!" The cop yells at me, and shoves me against the car. They quickly grabbed my hands and put them behind my back. I felt the metal from the cuffs clip around my wrists.
Breathe. Don't cry. Breathe.
I tried to calm myself. "H-hey... Calm down a bit. She hasn't try to run away." Jinyoung spoke.
"Park-ssi. You have figured out something big. Why a lot of people were dying, and you found out why. You made it possible and you caught one of them. There's no way we are doing mercy right now." The cop growls to Jinyoung. The cop leaned closer to me, "You." He spoke in my ear. "You are getting locked up. There's no way you're going to see freedom every again. Better enjoy this moment, because this will be your last." He pulls me away from the car and roughly leads me into the station. He puts me into the interrogation room, and handcuffs my ankles. I looked around nervously. The cop goes around the table and sits in the chair across from me. He glares at me.
"Now I'm going to ask you some questions. I want answers. They more you answer, the better it will be for you." He says to me. "Do you understand?"
I didn't respond.
I'm not allowed to tell anything about the Secret Society of BigHit.
"Is this Secret Society a real thing? Or do you just kill?" He asked me.
I stayed still.
"Who do you follow? Who tells you who to kill?" He tried another question.
Still didn't answer him.
"Damn it!" He bangs his palms onto the table. "Answer me! Who do you work for?!"
I bit the inside of my lip. The door suddenly opened. "Hey. Let me try." I looked over to see Jinyoung. He came and switched places with the cop. "Hi." He spoke to me. I gulped and nodded.
"Can you talk?" He asked softly.
"I can..." I whispered.
"Can you state your name?" Jinyoung looked me in my eyes.
"Sohn Nicole." I told him.
He looks at me confused. "Does the name Lee Yoojung sound familiar to you?"
I gulped and looked away. "No comment."
I hear him let out a breath. "Are those people you were with... Did they kidnap you?" He asked, and I quickly look at him. I was about to answer, but he spoke before I could, "We'll try again tomorrow." I hear the chair he was sitting in scoot back, and he walked out of the room.
I sat here trying to think. They never kidnapped me... What was I going to do? There was no way out...
A few minutes passed, and the door opened again. I looked up at the cop that walked up to me. It was a different one this time. "I was told to take you back to one of the cells. Until they figure out what to do with you. After thing have been decided, that will be where we know whether to send you to the back or... I'll be honest here, I don't think you'll be sent free." He explained to me. I looked down and nodded. "Okay, can you stand?" I stood up and tried to get my balance. He held onto my arm.
I then spoke. "Is... there anyway that you'd switch me to be cuffed with my hands in front of me? It's really hard to keep balance with my legs cuffed as well."
He sighs and shook his head. "I'm sorry... I can't. I wish I could. You seem to be nice... but at the same time, you murdered people..." I frowned, but nodded. I understood. "I'll help you keep balance while walking over okay?"
"Yes sir." I spoke softly. He lead me out of the room slowly, since it was hard to walk with the cuffs around my ankles. Once I got to the cell, I went to sit on the bench inside it. I looked around trying to figure out everything.
This may actually be the end... How could I get caught...
