Being an idol who was solo and an introvert made it incredibly hard for Fai to make friends. Fai kept her friendship circle small, a couple of people who she truly confides in.

Fai didn't meet the 00 line until the end of 2016, ever since then the five of them were inseparable. They always confided in each other and seemed to know whatever the other was feeling by just a glance or a three-word text. They've basically known each other since debut and grew up together, they went through everything together, achievements, arguments, all the way to the extent of puberty. On a Thursday night, they all hung out at Fai's rooftop and they spoke about the concept of soulmates. They all knew that the friendship they had would never develop to anything much more than that, they were meant to all meet each other and be best friends. All five of them established that they are platonic soulmates.

Fai met Lia at SOPA, the high school she attended, they were in the same class and due to the fact that Lia spoke English, they became deskmates. The friendship was very short as Lia left SOPA to go to another school. When Fai found out that Lia would be debuting under Itzy she texted Lia congratulating her and they quickly rekindled their friendship.

Fai and Felix actually knew each other since birth and even went to the same school in Sydney. Due to the two of them looking extremely alike, people from their school were convinced they were twins even though they would repeatedly say they weren't. Even though Fai had no time when Felix moved to train in Korea, Fai would always make sure she would be there for Felix because she too knew how it felt to move to a new country with no family. Nowadays, they don't talk much due to the lack of free time. But, they both hold a special place in each other's hearts as they both are each other's first best friend.
