chapter 6//Interviews
I wake up just before my alarm in Roger's arms. Looks like he finally slept. He looks so peaceful. I almost want to take a picture to capture this rare moment.
It's 5:43am and we need to leave the house at 6:30am for interviews this morning. It's going to be a long, full day of interviews. I'm not gonna be in many of them, but there might be one or two that wants me.
I carefully take Roger's arm off from being around my shoulder and get up.
I slip into a yellow plaid dress that shows my shoulders. It's a body-con, maybe it's too risqué for the world to see. I cover my shoulders with a light jean jacket. You can still see my curves and legs. I hope it's not too much.
I turn around and jump when I see Roger standing behind me.
"Oh my god, you scared me."
"I tend to do that a lot, huh?"
I take a moment to catch my breath when I realize he might as well have just seen me naked, "How much did you see?" I say quickly.
Roger raises a brow, "What do you mean?"
I sigh in relief. "Nevermind."
I walk past him, back into my room to spray a bit of my best-scented perfume.
I stop spraying when I see Roger staring at me. "What?"
He shrugs, "Nothing. You look good."
Suddenly I remember everything from last night - from the flirtatious comments about not wanting to sleep with him, to actually sleeping with him. Literally.
"Shut up," I attempt to act like I don't care, but I know he sees me blushing. It's not because of him, though. It's because of the compliment. I haven't been complimented by a boy in years. Other than Brian, of course.
When he turns his back to put his shoes back on, I catch a glimpse of him. He's still in last night's clothes - a white tee and ripped jeans. "Where are you going?" I ask.
"Home," he replies, still tying his shoes.
"How come?"
He stands up after one of his shoes are on and tied. The other one lays on the ground. "You want to explain to Brian that I slept in your bed last night? Yeah, that's sure to come off well."
I roll my eyes. I want him to leave but we have to leave soon, which means Brian's probably already awake.
I begin to tell him he's already awake when I hear a knock on my door. "Samantha? It's time to get up."
My eyes are wide open and I look at Roger. I shoo him into the bathroom quickly.
"Can I come in?" Brian politely asks.
"Go faster, Roger!" I whisper-yell.
"I'm trying!" He replies.
"Samantha?" Brian asks again.
Soon, Roger is hidden in the bathroom and I tell Brian to come in.
He comes in and- shit. I see one of Roger's shoes lying on the opposite side of the bed. Brian can't see them from the doorway, but if he came any closer to me, he would.
"You're up?" He asks.
"Uh, yeah, I just, uh, I don't know. I'm really hungover, I guess," I stumble over my words.
He nods but his brows are furrowed. He looks down to my dress. "And you're wearing that?" I nod. "You don't think it's a little, um...too...sexy?" He asks.
