James and Lily

Part 1

This story starts a couple hours after Snape called Lily a mudblood at the tree where James provoked him. This is my first story do pleas have some grace! Enjoy!

Lily POV

"Leave me alone Severus! I don't want to see you.

"Please Lily" He said it softly, quietly. "I never meant to hurt you!" His voice getting stronger. "It just-"

"Slipped out?"She said accusingly. "I understand Severus, why should you treat me different? You would say the same thing in the blink of an eye to anyone else of my birth!"

"Lily I'm sorry! He pleaded. "You know how that James Potter gets to me!"

"What a feeble excuse. James Potter didn't make you say that! You said it at your own liberty. Don't pretend that he had anything to do with it. He's never called me mudblood."

"Your sticking up for him!" I can't believe you. I thought you of all people would understand what a jerk he is."

"You were the one who called me mudblood!" She said angry.

"Well that's what you are Lily Evans! A mudblood I don't know why I ever hung around with you!" He said matching her anger.

She was silent for a few moments following the outburst. Her eyes filled with tears. "If that's what you really think Severus, then I'll get out of you way." She said quietly

"Lily-"he said, his voice breaking. "I didn't mean it....."

A tear escapes her eye as she left her best friend, the boy who had Introduced this intire amazing world to her."Goodbye Severus."
