CHAPTER SEVEN - Yellow Rose

I'M FOLLOWING THE MANGA!!

With the filled watering can, the spirit headed to the flowers. She crouched down in the place, where a yellow rose, that the girl took just a moment ago, was located. Haruka gently smoothed the soil with right hand, unconsciously touching her cheek with the other.

When the spot looked as nothing was torn out of it, she stood up and started humming while watering plants. It always made her feel relaxed and calm. Feeling the wind playing with her hair that were brushing the face, and hearing water hitting the ground... It was extraordinary.

"Hii! Haruka!"

The energetic voice calling out the name misled her. She turned to the owner of it... and felt as the surface beneath her feet became unstable.

Hanako and Kou were injured. They had wounds in several places, and they were still bleeding. Seeing this, Haruka became all shaky, not even noticing when the full watering can slipped from her hands.

"Wha-what-t happened?!"

"Hee hee..."

"Oh my, are you alright?!" she ran up to Kou, nervously examining his injuries. He had a slit on his cheek, some abrasions on his arms, and a big wound on his hand. Haruka didn't think twice – she took off a bandage from her elbow, and started wrapping Kou's hand. "I am really careful, but tell me if it hurts, okay?"

"Oh-Okay."

"Woah, Kou, you're so lucky! You got a girl to take care of you!" yelled Hanako, completely ignoring of the seriousness their situation.

"Do not even get me started" she growled, accidentally wrapping the bandage tighter, which made Kou hiss from pain. "I am so sorry, I will redo it..."

"Oh come on, it's not that bad!"

"Your uniform is literally messy from blood! You better have a good explanation for this!" she tied the bandage and looked at the other wounds. "I will go get a first aid kit, it is somewhere in here..."

"Oh, nothing bad, we just had an encounter with Teru Minamoto."

"It is not a time for jokes! He would not hurt his own brother, would he?" she said, getting a box hanging on the wall of the building.

"Then, tell me any other exorcist from this school, I'm waiting."

It made her go silence. Hanako was right. Those wounds were definitely done by some special stuff, and there wasn't anyone from the exorcist family, except for Minamoto brothers. She looked at Kou with a visible worry in her eyes. It was easy to deduce what happened. "You poor thing! Bend down, so I can help..."

"Hey, what about me? I'm more injured than the kid!"

Haruka glanced at him. Blood on his uniform left a big stain, so it really might be worse. But when she imagined what he had to do, so she could wrap him with the bandage...

"Y-you are a ghost, you do not need those!"

"Said who? The one who gets new wounds every day, just because..."

"Mine is a... special case" she cut him off. "Get out of my sight, before I get mad."

"I'll consider it within the prescribed period..."

"OUT!"

Hanako giggled as he disappeared. Haruka sighed, got a tissue from a first aid kit and started to clean Kou's injury on his cheek. "Now, when we are alone, are you sure you are okay?"
