"I win!" said the boy.

Unfortunately, it wasn't Kou, but Hanako.

"Wha–?!" he didn't kill me?

"Well..." he took out some sign with "seal" written on it and stuck it into the blond's Raiteijou "...I'll just seal this away, so it doesn't hurt anybody."

"WAAAH! WHAT'RE YOU DOING TO MY FAMILY HEIRLOOM!!!?" middle-schooler tried to scratch it out. "AAAAAGH! IT WON'T COME OFF! TAKE IT OFF!"

"Don't wanna!" 7th Wonder covered his ears.

Kou was furious. Where is that luck, which Haruka granted him?!

"More importantly..." Hanako took his hand and flipped it. It revealed a big injury and scald. "Thought so... It's like you have no idea how to use the spirit staff's power. You zapped yourself every time you shot lightning from it.". Blond hissed in pain and took his hand, but the ghost continued: "Using power you can't control will only lead to ruin, kid."

"N-Nobody asked you!" he exclaimed. "I don't care what happens to me, as long as I can protect everyone!"

"Ooh, how passionate! Don't worry. There's no need to rush. You'll make a fine exorcist one day. You'll be so good, a little spirit like me will be a piece of cake to expel." Hanako smirked mysteriously. "I'll be looking forward to it."

"Looking forward to it?" the boy asked in shock. "This is me exorcising you we're talking about, so why...?"

"...That said, you're a total pushover right now!" he said as he punched him in the stomach.

"GAH! You jerk... that was... awful..." Kou panted before fainting.

"WINNER! YAAAY!"

"Are you okay?" Nene ran up to him.

"I had to do it. It just didn't seem like he was going to give up otherwise. He's pretty tough. He'll wake up soon" Hanako looked at him and noticed something protruding from his pocket.

A peony.

"Of course. He went to Haruka before and took a lucky flower. That gave him even more hope." the spirit sighed, taking the flower out of Kou's pocket. He started ripping out the petals. "Is she actually planning to eliminate me or something?"

"I hope he didn't do anything to her..."

"Probably not, Haruka can protect herself and flower still grew, so she is fine" he threw what was left from the plant of the building.

"The staff..." Yashiro took the Raiteijou. "Shouldn't we hide it now, while we have the chance? He might come back..."

"Hang on" the boy interrupted. "Are you worried about me?"

"O-Of course I am! You're my friend."

"...I see" he looked at her. His expression was pretty scary. "So you can get along with a murderer, huh, Yashiro?"

She panicked a little. "That's..."

After a few seconds, Hanako giggled.

"Haha, just kidding!" the ghost said as he turned around and started going. "Leave the kid. He'll be fine. I doubt he'll be able to exorcise me next time he tries. And I welcome the company."

He sighed again.

"Of course... things are going to get a lot livelier around here before long."
