Loving you is a lot like writing similes
about colors and love.I see you and I see colors I've never seen before
I see you and I come up with a thousand words to name you,
Your colors
Your shades and your huesThis feeling in my chest,
The shade of brown in your eyes,
The moment I said I love you
And you said it backNever have I ever come close to spell this enchanting chiaroscuro that is you.
I have but at least tried..
Loving you is like a shadow of that sunshine,
dipped generously in the whitest shade of snow in the middle of winterThis hue
In prose, shall make for an epic portrait
And in canvas, shall paint
a wonderfully iridescent poetryA magic,
a song,
a lullaby.
