He laid in the center of the room. Chains all around him, binding him to this very spot. He hated being here, darkness choaking his sight and senses. It was so thick, he could taste it. Then it happened, for the first time in a millennium, light shone in his prison, almost buring his eyes from his skull. Thousands of years in heavens darkest prison will do that to even the mightiest of Angel's. Then a man, or a shadow from his sight could walked in front of him, sword of gleaning metal in hand. "Oh, how the mighty have fallen. But brother, do you want redemption or do you want me to close the door behind me forever?" As he began to motion towards the door, he screamed out " No, no. Please dont close that door please." As tears began to fall from his eyes, he began to beg the mysterious figure, "Please dont. Whatever you want. I'll do it, just dont put me back in the dark, please" As the man raised the sword above his head, he braced for the fleeting sensation of death, only to hear the clang metal against metal. Then, he felt his arm freed from his restraints. His arm felt raw and moving them was a struggle. But with his near instantaneous healing, his arm was back to working condition in mere moments. "I have released you, brother. For when I call and when I call, you must answer, Gadreel." As he stood for the first time in eons, the Angel Gadreel felt the wind whipping against his skin. And he was finally able to flex his large ebony wings. And he finally took off. The shadow looking down said ominously, " and brother I will call."
Gadreel enjoying the sensation of flight. The wind whipping the hair across his face. And left of on his journey to come.
