That Popular Kid (MiloXKevin) (TT)

     Milo has always been the quiet kid, he never spoke in class and he never had any friends except one, Kevin. Kevin was that nerdy kid in school that turned popular in high school, he was once so shy but then in sophomore year he turned into that kid you wished you could be. Kevin had the looks of a teen model, the personality of an outgoing new kid and the voice of a soft little fairy, everyone loved him and hung out with him. But there was one thing Kevin forgot about, his true best friend, the one who's been there for him through all the years and the pain and eventually that would be his down fall. It was during prom time and Kevin had been asked to prom by the worst bully there at school, Kevin had felt bad for him because he had no one to go with, so he accepted. Milo was heartbroken for he wanted to take Kevin, but as a good friend he didn't let his emotions get the best of him and he went to prom alone just to keep an eye on Kevin. Once at prom Kevin showed up with his date in a nice black tuxedo and his hair was up in a neat bun, Milo smiled to himself and admired him from a distance. As the night went on everyone was dancing and everything was going great until one of the bully's friends grabbed the juice bowl and dumped it all over Kevin, and that was the moment that Kevin was made the laughing stock of the year. Time froze for Kevin and all he could see was fingers pointing and the sound of laughter, he looked at his hands then up at his date, "That's what you get for opening your heart to everyone!" the date shouted, Kevin's heart sunk and he started to cry and he dropped to the floor. Milo rushed over and pushed the bully over and dropped to his knees, "Kevin, are you alright?" He asked in a panic, Kevin looked up at him and shook his head, Milo helped him up and looked at the bully, with out saying a word he punched the bully in his nose and kicked him in the groin. The bully dropped to his knees and started bawling, Milo then picked Kevin up and carried him outside, he carried him to his car and helped him in. Once in the car, Kevin took his glasses off and placed them on the dashboard and he sobbed into his hands. Milo frowned and softly rubbed his back, "It's okay Kevin," he spoke softly and Kevin shook his head, "No, it's not okay, I was an idiot, I should have known better!" "Kevin, he's the idiot, he messed with you and now he's bawling on the dance floor," Milo said with pride in his voice then he sighed, "You're the greatest person in the world, and yes you do let the wrong people into your heart sometimes, but that doesn't make you an idiot, those who take you for granted are the idiots, because they'll never have another person like you in their life." Kevin looked up at him and rubbed the tears out of his eyes, "You mean that?" He asked and Milo nodded, "Of course I mean that, you're my best friend, Kevin," Kevin then teared up again and hugged onto Milo, "Oh Milo! I've been the worst friend, you've always been there for me and I haven't done anything for you!" Milo hugged back and chuckled "It's okay Kev, how about we head back to your place and you can clean up, then we could watch some horror movies?" Kevin looked up at Milo and sniffed, he nodded and sat up and put his glasses back on. They drove back to Kevin's house and Milo helped him clean up, after they got into comfy clothes and cuddled up on the couch, Milo turned on the tv and put on a horror movie, Kevin was nearly falling asleep already and he nuzzled into Milo's chest, "You're the best Milo, I lov..." he trailed off and fell asleep. Milo smiled to himself and closed his eyes, "I love you too."
