Chapter 21: Don’t Panic

“So are we going to strap her up in the panic room?” Sam asked.

“We can try adding some angel proofing as well.” Bobby sighed as they strapped her down. Bobby had a few of the elephant tranquilizers handy now just in case.

“I suggest the same method that Creedy found effective in restraining her.” Cas added sounding exhausted. Sam looked at him sympathetically. He knew Ruby had always been tired after he drained her. Dean was taking a silver sharpie to the rubber bands that were over her body and angel proofing it. Sam found himself holding a wet washcloth and wiping the blood away from her mouth.

She was out for an hour at the most. Sam and Dean were angel proofing the room more hoping that Cas wouldn’t be too effected by it. Mostly they were angel proofing the door so neither Cas nor Tyler could get in or out. Obviously it was Tyler they were trying to keep in but still. They weren’t sure how bad it was going to get. She’d been at this for years thanks to the feathered dicks.

“You know that angel proofing the cuffs didn’t work really well for Creedy. It really made Tyler angry.” Sam said as he and Dean finished the door.

“And once she gets it out of her system she’ll thank us.” Dean answered his brother. About the same time Tyler groaned in misery partially awake.

“Yeah but she’ll be irrational until then.” Sam said glancing at Tyler nervously. He remembered when he was addicted. It wasn’t pretty. And his addiction hadn’t been going on for years. But Tyler? Those dicks had taken it to a whole new level and Sam wasn’t sure he was ready to face that again. He felt for Dean who now had to see two people he cared about go through this.

“Which is why we’re going to be watching her in shifts and making sure she can’t get out at all.” Dean said just as Bobby rolled a cart in.

“Is that an IV drip?” Sam asked.

“Yup.” Was Bobby’s answer as Dean let him in. Cas stepped in hesitantly and looked a little worse for wear but he stayed. Bobby knelt beside Tyler and put the IV in her arm.

“So what are you dosing her with?” Sam asked.

“A mild relaxant for now and then if she refuses to eat or drink anything then we can deliver the nutrients her body need intravenously.” Bobby explained. Sam’s eyes widened when he realized how good at this Dean and Bobby were.

“We almost had to do this for you Sam.” Dean answered the unasked question on his brother’s lips. Dean just watched as Bobby hooked it up but didn’t let the drip start.

“We’re going to wait for her to wake up and then if she needs it we can calm her down and try to reason with her.” Bobby said as the three watched her. The brothers just nodded.

“If you need me pray for me. I do not think I can stand being in here much longer.” With those last declarations Cas left and then vanished to see to his own business. The three men watched without a word and finally settled into silence as they waited for Tyler to come to. It took her fifteen minutes to open her eyes muttering in another language that none of them understood. When she did look at them each individually eyes still bleary and unfocused it was Sam who spoke first.

“Who’s Tanner?”

“Don’t you need my lawyer present to interrogate me?” Tyler slurred.

“Not really Ty.” Bobby told the girl without an ounce of sympathy. Tyler just grunted.

“Why’m I strapped down?” She asked next.

“Tell you what we’ll play a game. You answer one of our questions and we’ll answer one of yours ok?” Sam tried to negotiate.
