Chapter 2

Kirishima's POV

I'm still surprised about how good Bakugo looks tonight. Like, he actually tried! Most of the time he'll just wear whatever he finds in his closet. I wonder what else he has hidden in there.

Meanwhile, I was too lazy to spike my hair, and I just wore that one blue striped t-shirt with shorts.

Mina looks great. She's wearing a white off-the-shoulder top, and jean shorts. She's just, like, really pretty.
I've looked up to Mina ever since the day I met her. To be honest, she's been one of my best friends ever since.

Her quirk is amazing. It's flashy, unlike mine. Yeah, we're not getting into that.

But Bakugo's quirk is probably the manliest quirk ever. And Bakugo is the manliest person ever.

A lot of people don't see this about him, but he can actually share his feelings. It's discrete, but I almost always catch on.
Also, why do so many people hate him? He's so rockin cool!

Anyhoo, Mina's talking about something, and I'm thinking about Bakugo. Probably not the best thing to do, since I'm definitely gonna ask her out eventually.

She makes me happy, and I hope I do the same for her. Plus, she's also super hot.

Okay I actually have to start listening now.

"...say I have a chance. Do you think I do?" Mina asks.

Great job, Eijiro. You're so good at listening.

I scratch the back of my neck as I think of an answer to the question I didn't listen to.
"Um, yeah? I guess?" I answer.

She smiles, so I smile.

"Awww, thanks! Because like, Ochako keeps talking about Midoriya and it's adorable. We all agree that..."

I tune out again. I don't have the longest attention span; one reason Bakugo has to tutor me.

I want to know what Bakugo is doing, but I can't, or it'll look like I'm not listening to Mina; which I'm not, but still. I should really start listening again.

But, there's nothing to listen to. Mina's just sitting there.
"What's your answer?" she questions after a few seconds.

"Yes," I say in response, though it sounds more like a question.

"Ugh. I know, right? She's too scared to ask him out! And we all know he too awkward to ask anybody out, so why shouldn't she just do it?"

Well I have to say something.
"Uh, yeah. It's like, the simple solution."

"Exactly!" Mina exclaims

Our one-sided conversation is interrupted when our food comes.
Thank the good lord Crimson Riot.

Bakugo obviously ordered the spiciest thing on the menu. I have no clue how he can tolerate things like that, because i most definitely cannot.

Mina got a nattō dish. I know that it's one of her favorite foods, and she's one of my favorite people. She's adorable. The waiter walks away with a nod after Mina gives him a bright smile and thanks him.

I turn my attention back to Bakugo, sitting next to me. "How do you eat that stuff?" I ask.

"Because I'm not a coward," he answers. He doesn't look at me at all, and just keeps eating.

"But you just- you don't even react to it," I say. Bakugo finally looks at me like I'm the dumbest person in the world. Like, chill, dude! It's a genuine question.

"What the fuck is there to react to?" Bakugo asked in return. His mouth was still full, and the chopsticks were centimeters from my face. Hot. I mean what? Food. Yes, the food is hot.

Speaking of hot, it's pretty hot in here. My face feels like it's on fire. Maybe it's because of the chopsticks.

"Well- it's spicy! I don't get how you wouldn't-"
"Not all of us are wusses like you, shitty hair," he interrupts.

I just sigh, and shake it off.

"Are you okay?" Mina asks as we walk back to the dorm building.

I look at her, confused. "Yeah, why?" I ask.

"Bakugo was pretty mean to you, back at the restaurant," she explained. "You looked, I don't know, hurt?"

I did? I didn't feel hurt. Or at least I don't anymore. "He's always like that," I say.
I look at Bakugo, who's in front of the whole group. I can feel my lips curl into a small smile on their own.

Mina sighs. "I guess he is," she adds.

Time must'be sped up because the next thing I know, we're in front of the 1-A dorm building.

"Walk me to my room?" Mina asks as we stop inside the building.

I nod with a smile before we catch up to the rest of the group.

Kaminari was the first to arrive at his dorm, then we went to Mina's.

"I had a lot of fun tonight," she says. "I hope we can do it again sometime."
Her arm brushes mine as she walks to her door, and I grin.

"Yeah, me too. Uh– goodnight, Mina!" I quickly respond, just before she closes the door.

Bakugo scoffs and begins to walk toward our rooms, Sero walking next to me.

"So, Ashido?" he asks, smirking at me.

My eyes widen and I rub the back of my neck. "I... don't know what you're talking about," I reply.

"Oh, c'mon, dude! You guys would be awesome together."

"Y'think?" I look at Sero with hope, and he nods.

"Yeah, dude. And I think sh-"

"Hey, losers, I'm at my room which mean you are too, Kirishima. Now get lost, tapeface!" Bakugo interrupts.

"Oh, right. Bye Sero!" I wave to him as he walks off and step over to my own door.
"Goodnight, Bakubro!"

I swear I hear a faint "Night, shitty hair" as Bakugo walks into his room.

I enter my own and close the door with a smile. "We'd be awesome together," I mutter to myself. "Heck yeah, we would."

this chapter was like, 980 something words and wHEW. but yea, i'm still really sorry it took me forever to update. i have less free time than i thought i would, since i'm waking up at 2:00 and doing schoolwork until 10. i was thinking about starting kiribaku oneshots and taking au requests, and maybe starting a stenbrough fic. opinions???
