Jesus fucking Christ.

It's about time Mr. Aizawa let me out of detention. That felt like a fucking lifetime. I can finally fucking sleep.

Just as I close the door to my room, I get a notification. A message from shark teeth.

shitty hair: "hey bro! how was detention?"

'How was detention'???? That better be sarcastic.

me: "it was great. we had a tea party and talked about all the latest gossip"

shitty hair: "wait really? 😦"

me: "no????"

shitty hair: "oh oops 🤭"

shitty hair: "sooooo what did u do?"

me: "homework."

shitty hair: "thats it??? 🤨"

me: "i was also forced to write an essay about how heroes need to be ready no matter the circumstances or how much sleep they get"

shitty hair: "an essay⁉️ that sounds scary 😰"

me: "eh it was alright"

shitty hair: "wait did you finish it???"

me: "yeah it was short"

shitty hair: "woahhhhhh 🤯"

shitty hair: "well i'm proud of u bro! 🥳essays are hard"

me: "yeah whatever"

me: "did you do any of your homework?"

shitty hair: "yeah! i finished it 😎"

me: "damn how'd you manage that"

shitty hair: "mina helped 😋"

Fuck. He can't be serious. Raccoon eyes? I leave for 3 fucking hours and she's already replacing me. If I could scream, I would. But Kirishima is next door so that's not an option.

Instead, i'll just silently fume while also trying not to cry. Because that's how I roll.

I should probably reply...

me: "oh"

shitty hair: "she's pretty good at this stuff!"

shitty hair: "i mean for most of it she just let me copy her work so-"

Of Fucking Course. Of course he has to like her more than me. Because pinkeye is just that great.

shitty hair: "she could never be as rad as u tho 🥰"

me: "shut up asshole"

shitty hair: "what?? i was giving you a compliment!"

shitty hair: "besides it's true"

shitty hair: "u da best 😚"

I am. I am going to combust. Every fucking time he uses that god forsaken emoji I can't stop smiling. I don't want to smile. I want to sleep.

And kiss him.

me: "no shit. i gotta sleep now so goodbye"

shitty hair: "goodnight bakubro sweet dreams 😚😚"

The emojis.

Does he even know what this is doing to me? I get he wants to "kiss the homies" but some of the "homies" are gay.

I plug my phone in to charge and sit on my bed.

"Asshole," I mutter to myself while smiling.

Fucking idiot. If only he could see how he makes me feel. Everything would be so much easier. I wouldn't have to deal with the pain of being so hopelessly in unrequited love with him.
