I don't know how his gaze on my face deepened. But one thing's for sure, if I don't cut my stare right now, things might get wild inside my head.
"Oh," I looked outside of the window and saw the convenience store as an excuse. "Wait here, please. We don't wanna cause another stampede." I said as I open the car door.
He rolled the car window down. Just enough for him to see me inside the store. I rolled my eyes at him as I got out and he chuckled.
The 24/7 convenience store was empty with people. I got some black masks from the accessory rack and a flavored soju from the refrigerator and went to the cashier lady.
I need the alcohol back in my senses because I don't want to be intoxicated by Eunwoo.
"Can I buy a box of bottled water?" I asked her while she's scanning the things I got.
She didn't understand me so she had to use a translator app before she nodded and went to the grocery racks. She went back with a box filled with bottled water!
I settled the payment and ridiculously thought if this is enough to pay Eunwoo what I owe him.
I went out with my hands full. I was carrying the box and the paper bag with the masks and soju on top. I knocked on the back seat door.
"Don't you dare go out of the car, Dong Min." I glared at him.
"What are you..." I heard him murmur before clicking the lock of the back seat door and stretching his body to open it for me.
I dumped the heavy box on the seat and closed the door. After that, I opened the door in front and settled myself beside him.
Confused, he faced back and opened the box. I then heard a bark of laughter as he goes back to his position.
"I guess I don't owe you anymore." I told him as I open the paper bag for the masks. "I bought masks, by the way. Incase it's col—"
"It's just perfect." He turned the engine on as he grins at me. "Because I'm planning to go to a night market. Are you up?"
"A cover up, huh?" My voice dripped with sarcasm. "It won't work, Dong. Someone who knows the issue at the park will still recognize you, that's for sure."
"Exactly why we go to a crowded place to blend with people." He stressed his point as he started driving away.
I breathed and puckered my lips, thinking. Yes, he has a point. However, everything about him is just so attractive not to notice. That is what I'm concerned about.
I secretly glanced at him while his eyes were busy on the road.
He just wanted to do things like a normal person in his age even just for a night. So who am I to stop him? And he has bodyguards incase of another stampede so... whatever.
"Or are you uncomfortable with my idea?" He glanced at me and his eyes went back on the road. "We can just stay in a hotel and eat."
My eyes widened and I almost choked! What the hell? I didn't even hear the last thing he said and I just exploded like a bomb!
The car stopped. Eunwoo tilted his head while looking at me, worried and puzzled at the same time. I gestured for him to continue driving. He obeyed, though, with his brows furrowed.
"No, no." I coughed. "I mean, I'd prefer going to the night market because I'm kind of fed up by hotel food. But, I'm not saying hotel food sucks. It's just that I heard food in night markets are one of the best here in Seoul so I wanna... try." Was my excuse in the most understandable way possible.
