Zack and I were at the Café sitting at a table in the far corner next to a big window. It was a busy Friday afternoon and we decided to come here because of the fresh pies that we knew would just be finished at this time. He was on his phone talking to Bella convincing her to come along with the others."Bella, it's fresh pie.I know you would want that. "He laughed at what she said, then letting her know that I was here too.
" ok cool. Tell the others. "
"Great then, see you in a few." He placed his phone down and watched me, tapping his finger on the table . Placing down my phone I decided to converse with him knowing that's what he was implying by his stare and tapping fingers.
" So...umm.. What's new? " I played with my fingers and feeling my self beginning to smile. I looked up at him and we both burst out laughing.
"Really? That's what you're gonna ask?" I tried controlling my laugh while shrugging.
"You're such a weirdo, Jenna." I smiled shaking my head.
" What! No I'm not. "Now thinking about it .. I am.
Didn't need much thinking there, Columbus!
I giggled.
" Yup. Yup that I am....by heart. " He smiled .
"They're here." I turned and looked at my jolly friends walking into the Café, all raising their hands to my grandmother. They walked over to us and Jonah slid in next to me, his strong arms brushing against my arm. I felt light for a fraction of a second then gathered myself together gracing them with my "Hello" also listening to them decide what they should order.
"Okay we all love pie so why not just order an entire pie with our drinks?" I shake my head at them. They are so loud , it makes me want to laugh. Jonah then at that time managed to move his leg causing it to touch mine. He looked at me and his face had this look of mischief, he smirked and did it again.
"Yes! What Jenna said." He turned back to me and leaned in and kind of whispered, " Hello...beautiful. " I felt my self get smaller in my seat and my face a bit heated.
" Hi Jonah. What was that for?" I say, looking directly at him.
"You okay Jenna?" Bella asked. "Pies gonna be here soon . " she grinned and turned to Matt. I felt Jonah 's body shake with a quiet laugh and I elbowed him in the side. He hissed and turned to me. "What was that for?" He had that sad puppy face.
"What was that for" I mimicked and took up my fork as the waitresses placed our pies down. I giggled at his expression of pure cuteness as he stuffed a fork full of pie into his mouth. He sneakily touched my arm again and turned away, the others not even noticing. They were too busy talking about the pie and how it was made to even notice that Jonah wasn't his normal 'bleh' self. It's honestly very strange and a bit uncomfortable when he isn't his usual serious, almost looking bored self . I finished my pie and drink then took up my phone because everyone was finished and asking me to take a picture of us from my side. So there I was, mouth stuffed with pie and taking a selfie. Who would have taught this would be me ?
We made plans to go to the beach the next day then we left for home. Jonah offered to give me a ride home so I agreed then realising that it was his motorbike that I would have to go on. Fingers crossed that I arrive home safely knowing how Jonah is already a bit too playful today.
Thank heavens I got home in one peace and I am up this morning. It was 9:00 AM in the morning and I had just awoken, brushed my teeth and went down to the kitchen to make breakfast. Mom would have already left for work and Gran would be preparing to go to the Café.
