A warm feeling swept over my body remembering his touch. It felt so gentle and that reassured me that he was capable of being gentle. Although I'm not quite sure as to why I needed such reassurance. After Jonah's hug I was stunned to say the least but I masked that along with the happiness that came flooding throughout my body after the exchange. I didn't want him to notice how he made me feel. I'm coming to the realization that deep down there was something up with me and my feels and crazy emotions when it comes to Jonah Stevenson. It was weird.
I mean I'm seventeen and I know how this all works, I know enough from books and movies about the rush of falling for someone. In theory of course. But, why all of a sudden, wasn't I supposed to know why I feel a certain way for someone. Why him? What did he do to make me even have this battle in my mind right now about him.
My hormones are out of wack. I, for some reason or the other thought he was someone I'd never like.Anyway, enough of this. I was currently packing for a three days trip with my friends. Can you imagine that. We were going to spend three days at a cabin Zack's parents owned. It didn't take a lot of convincing on my end I actually thought it was a great idea. I could do with some peace, silence and tranquility of nature. I packed everything that I'll need and headed over to Zacks house. The others were there already, loud as ever. So much for peace and tranquility.
"Hey Jen... what do you think, dog food or cat food?" Matt hollered as I entered the kitchen where they all were. Knowing them, this was one of their other silly argument about the weirdest and most random things.
I raised my brows at him, "Really Matt? But I'll say dog food." I dropped my bag onto the floor and leaned on to the counter.
"Go." He said to me.
"Well, first off, I love dogs and second, I tried dog food before... Way better than cat ." He and the others burst out in laughter.
"Sick... Who would even do that?" Bella said.
"Uhh... Me." I said while giving her a kiss on her cheek. " I dare you. One fist full of dog food.. You and me, now." Zack almost screamed out of excitement. I summoned him over with my hands and Matt got two dishes with a fist full of Zacks dog, Gunter's food.
"Hands behind your backs solders. On the count of three dig in." Matt commended. We both saluted and bent in a position over our dishes. "One, two, three, GO!"
I immediately dug into the salty, crunchy, yucky tasting treat. I was trying my best to chew and swallow but it was at all going down.
Quick note, I only ever tasted one kibble the first time not this amount I'm currently trying to swallow. I got as much as my mouth could have hold because all I needed was for the dish to be empty right?
My mouth was stacked when mister fancy pants Jonah decided it was his cue to enter. On instinct, I turned around to see who was standing directly behind me. Only to yet again bump into Jonah chest, causing my mouth to let loose of all the dog food. It was like a machine gun I tell you. The treats all went flying, some hitting home right in the face.
Gross!
He didn't even move a muscle and so did I. I was flabbergasted. My mouth was left open and my hands to my side, in shock of what just transpired.
The others were killing themselves with laughter and I was trying to ease my self of embarrassment. I gave a nervous yet embarrassing giggle and whispered, "sorry."
"You guys are so weird." Jonah chuckled and he pulled my in for a surprising hug.
"Okay then. Lets get on the road. Shall we?" I said, in an exciting tone. I grabbed my bag and jumped unto Jonah back and summoned him away with me to the car.
