Quarantine.

"I want to go outside!" The small kid said, stomping her feet.

"No. You know we can't go outside." The older girl scolded.

This was a common day for the squad during quarantine.

Wake up, clean your room, eat breakfast, shower, chill, try to escape to go outside, get caught, eat lunch, chill, take a nap, try to escape, get caught, eat dinner, chill, go to sleep. It was like a song on replay. But today was different.

————This morning————

"Shut up Diego! We're going to get caught." Eloise whispered. Diego stopped talking and nodded. At the moment, they were going through a hidden passageway they found. When they first moved in, the kids went to explore it. They accidentally found a passageway that was in one of the closets. The passageway led all around the house, going from room to room. They explored all the parts except the one leading to the attic or basement. Those parts were blocked off with wood. The passageways weren't small, they were big enough to fit a grown man.

The kids made a plan. That day during breakfast, Sword got a call. Instead of answering it in front of the kids, she got up and went to her room, then closed the door. They thought it was weird, because Sword usually just answered the phone in front of them. So they decided to investigate. The plan was that they would spilt up. 3 kids stay to keep lookout, and the other 3 would go in the tunnels and eavesdrop.

Eloise, Julianna, and Diego were the ones to eavesdrop. Vicki, Liz, and Isa were the ones to keep a lookout. They had their code names and secret word in place. All they had to is wait.

"Hear anything important?" Diego asked. Julianna shook her head.

"They're talking about their lives. It's boring. It's nothing big, can we go now?" Eloise shook her head.

"No. I know she's hiding something." Eloise said.

————Bold is Sword. Italics is the other person she's on the phone with.

"So how have you been?"

"Fine, it's just a little boring around here."

"You want me to come by?"

"No it's fine. We're in quarantine and I don't want you to risk getting sick. Plus, I have guests."

"You have guests over and you don't want me to come over and risk myself getting sick?"

"No, no. I mean—I have people that I live with."

"Is that a problem?"

"Well...kinda. The people I live with don't really like new people."

"That's funny. What are they? Toddlers?"

"Yeah."

"Oh. How many?"

"6 and a half."

"A half?!"

"Yup. Just waiting for the day Julianna bites Diego's feet off. Or when Eloise finally loses an organ."

"Must be a pain."

"It is. I've almost ran out of napkins and toilet paper. I need to go to the store. But I can't tell them because I know they'll go crazy."

"Want me to go with you? I'm out of stuff too."

"Um...y'know what? Sure."

"Ok I'll be there in 15 minutes. Bye."

"Sounds like a plan. Bye."

————

"Did you guys hear that?! She's going to the store! Without us! That son of a-..." Julianna was cut off.

"Guys! Did you finish your breakfast?" They all stiffened. Through the little headsets they had, they heard Isa's voice.

"Lactose-pills! Lactose-pills!" She yelled. That was their secret word. The three began running back towards the kitchen. They heard Sword's voice from the other end.

"Hey. Where's Eloise, Julianna, and Diego?"

"They're...brushing their teeth...?" Vicki said.

"Those three....brushing their teeth? Ok seriously, where are they."

"Like I said, brushing their teeth. Go check." They heard someone walking away. By that time, they made it to the kitchen, then ran into the dining room.

"They aren't there-..."

"We're right here." Sword gave a questioned look.

"Wait what..." the kids shrugged and ate. Sword went back to her room.

"So, what did you hear?" Liz asked. Diego ate some of his waffles.

"She was on the phone with some dude. They were talking about..." Diego gulped.

"...hanging out." Eloise and Julianna snapped their heads towards him. Eloise furrowed her eyebrows.

"No they weren't! They were talking about going to the store! I heard them!" Julianna jumped in.

"You just want to go to the store and get everything you want!" She yelled.

"The store?! Really? We get to go outside?!" Vicki asked happily as she pet her turtle.

"I'm going with her by myself!" Diego said. Eloise grabbed his shirt.

"Like hell you will!"

"Screw you guys I'm going!"

"No me!"

"It's my turn to go!"

Suddenly a knock was heard. The kids stopped fighting and looked at the door. Sword got out her room. She was wearing a mask. She opened the door. There stood 3 people.

"Low self esteem-kun! Lactose-Chan! Writers block-kun! Hey! Come in!"

The kids backed away. For some reason, they felt they knew them somewhere. The three smiled at the kids.

Writers block-kun waved at Liz, who ducked behind Eloise. Lactose-chan smiled at Eloise and Diego, who ducked behind Vicki.

"Guys these are my friends." Sword said. "This is Lactose-Chan, Writers Block-Kun, and him." Low self esteem-Kun glared at her.

"Really? Him?" Sword shrugged.

"Now these are my trouble angels. Vicki, Isa, Eloise, Liz, Diego, and Julianna." They waved shyly.

"Now they aren't allergic to anything, except Eloise is Lactose intolerant, so no dairy for her. Julianna tends to try and eat Diego's toes so when she tries, hit her with a spoon. Vicki and Isa are fairly well, and Liz will try to escape so watch her."

"Wait what?" Writers block-kun asked.

"You're going to help me while I'm out." She said.

"Hey, how about I go with you to the store? These two are great babysitters!" Low self esteem-kun offered. Lactose-chan gave him a weird look.

"We are?" Low self esteem-Kun nodded.

"Yes you are," Sword smiled.

"Sounds like a plan! Text me if anything goes bad, or if Liz tries to set Diego on fire again." Sword said bye to the kids then left.

Lactose-Chan and Writers block-kun both looked at each other then at the kids.

"Now listen here you brats. We aren't here to babysit. So stay out of our way. And if you do, there will be serious consequences." Lactose-Chan said. The kids smirked and laughed. Julianna walked up to Writers block-kun.

"Do. Your. Worst."
