The Third Player Persona 5 x Male reader

Back in the Palace

Y/n is running through the halls, making sure to keep an eye out for guards while Yua and Mito stay close behind taking whatever they can carry. As hes about to take a turn Y/n notices a guard and turns to the others.

Y/n: Mito, you see that guy over there?

Mito: Yah, is that the security you were talking about?

Y/n: Yup, stand back and just watch for this one. Yua be ready on the off chance things go south.

Y/n touches his mask and the number 2 fades as a card appears in his hand and he slides it into the deck of cards.

Y/n: Amaterasu you can rest for a bit, Lady luck will take care of this one.

Y/n pulls off his mask, summoning Lady luck, then runs at the guard stabbing him in the back. The guard turns into two ladies in long torn red dresses with almost green skin and matching hair. (Silky) and a green horse with no rear end (Kelpie).

Y/n: Lady luck, Hama!

A flurry of cards surround the green horse and he vanishes. Y/n shoots each of the Silkies and finishes them with a stab. Then shouts at Mito and Yua to come out.

Mito: Who is she, and how did you do that.

Lady luck: I am Lady luck, Y/n's persona. I'm sort of like a manifestation of his mind/soul. I specialize in Bless and curse magic.

Mito: Amazing, do you have one too Yua?

Yua: Yes but she's not really meant for fighting,  she just heals. You can meet her later.

Mito: Do I have one.

Y/n: If my gut feeling is right then yes, but unlocking it won't be so easy.

Mito: How did you two unlock them?

Yua: During very dangerous stressful times through a lot of pain. When we say it's not easy,  it's not easy.

Mito: Noted.

Y/n: Well let's keep moving.

Mito: Lead the way.

They traverse the floor without too much trouble before running into another guard that once again turned into Kelpie and Silkies.

Y/n: This should be easy enough.

Y/n pulls out his pistol and fires three shots. One misses entirely, another grazes a Silky and the third hit Kelpie but only served to make him mad.

Mito sits in the back face palming.

Mito: That's not how you use a gun at all. Yua do you have one?

Yua: Just this small one.

She hands him her pocket pistol.

Mito: It'll do.

He proceeds to fire three bullets all hitting right between his targets eyes.

Y/n turns around shocked.

Y/n: Where did you learn how to shoot?

Mito: Back in Texas, used to head to the shooting range all the time. I know my way around a gun.

Y/n tosses his gun at Mito who catches it and admires its decor.

Y/n: Until you unlock your persona you'll be using that. We only got a limited number of bullets so make them count. Give Yua her pocket pistol back, she'll need it if push comes to shove.

Mito: Yes sir. Though may I see that knife you were using?

Y/n pulls out a few knives.

Y/n: I got all kinds.

Mito: Incredible where did you get them?

Y/n: They came with the persona and the costume. I'm telling you, when you unlock your persona you get the whole package.

Mito: Ok, still not sure how to get one though.

Y/n: Relax. He'll come when you need him most.

Yua: Let's get a move on boys, don't forget the guards are actively looking for us.

Y/n: Right let's keep going.

The group continues to make their way through the labyrinth of halls looking for the stairwell and fighting the occasional guard.

After a few hours of this they run into a little trouble. They're in a dead end with guards close behind. Y/n is charged by three Kelpies and gets knocked to the ground. They're moving to fast for Mito to get a good shot off, and Yua can't reach Y/n at the moment.

Mito: This would be a great time to awaken to some amazing supernatural powers! Any time now persona!

Yua brings out Marionette and tries to shoot at them but has little success. She the makes Marionette use her strings to tie up the Kelpies but it only does so much.

Mito: God why isn't it working! Yua you said it would take a stressful event to help me awaken to my persona, why isn't it working!?

Yua: I don't know!?

A Kelpie breaks the strings and lunges at Mito.

Mito closes his eyes and covers his face with his arms in order to defend himself from the expected blow. But instead of feeling a forceful impact he felt warmth. It started on his forearm then spread to everywhere. He looks up so see all the Kelpies on fire with Y/n and Amaterasu standing behind them.

Mito: What just happened, I thought you were unconscious?

Y/n: No I faked it.

Mito: Why!

Y/n: To create a stressful situation to help you awaken your persona. But I saw it wasn't working so I stepped in.

Mito: Ok but whose she?

Amaterasu: I am Amaterasu,  Y/n's second persona.

Mito: You can have multiple?

Y/n: Under normal circumstances,  no I have a special tool that allows me to have more than one.

Mito how did you unlock her.

Y/n: Near death experience.

Mito looks at his clenched fists, relaxes them.

Mito: You keep saying it takes this near death experience or some kind of trauma, but I didn't feel anything. Do I really have one?

Y/n: You do, I know you do. And we'll unlock it in due time so relax. Right now we should look for the exit, it'll be easier to ponder how to summon your persona out there, we're running out of bullets too.

Mito: Yah ok.

Yua: I think I see the stairwell over there.

The group runs over to the stairs, opens the window and leave the palace.

They are all standing outside of Yua's apartment in their normal clothes.

Yua: Well the day is still young, why don't we head out and do something fun. I'm not to tired seeing as we left early.

Y/n: I could go for some Big Bang Burger right about now.

Mito: We could pay for it with what we make off of these.

He reaches into his bag and pulls out some of the treasures they picked up.

Mito: I know a Pawnshop not too far from Big Bang Burger.

Y/n: Then that settles it let's go!
