Yua takes a step back into the real world and is hit by a wave of fatigue. She looks around for the boys and finds them each with one arm around the others shoulders helping each other walk to a  nearby tree for shade. She follows them and soon they're all laying on the ground watching the sky. The day was still young as they had entered the palace fairly early in the morning. It looked to be about 1:00 P.M. The three lay down without a word for minutes, no one really sure what to say. Y/n sits up and silently starts stretching before handing a small paper to Yua.

Yua: What's this?

Y/n: The camera that we took from that theater. When we left it turned into that, figured you should be the one to keep it.

Yua takes the paper in both hands and slowly flips it. A small tear forms in the corner of her eye before she wipes it off with her sleeve and smiles. The treasure was a picture of Yua blowing out her birthday candles on her 5th birthday. It was fairy tale themed so she was wearing a little princess dress. She was holding her dad's hand in the picture and they both looked as happy as could be.

The boys sit up on either side of her and look at the picture with her. The three of them all smile and laugh together.

Yua: That was my 5th birthday. I had begged my parents for a magical birthday and my dad went out of his way to make it amazing. He got me a lavender princess dress and he even wore these little green dragon wings. All my siblings were  dressed up too, the whole day was just us being silly together and having fun.

Mito: That sounds amazing. I guess being his princess wasn't always a bad thing huh.

Y/n looks down at a blade of grass that he had started playing with.

Y/n: It was never necessarily "bad" per say. It just was, but now it'll be different. I'll be honest, I don't really know what's going to happen. He should give you more space and treat you more like your own person, but I have to know. Won't you miss this?

He gestures to the picture. Yua stays silent for a moment, lost in thought.

Yua: I'm still his daughter and he's still my dad, I know that sounds obvious but it means we'll always share a bond. I see this as our bond maturing past its first phases. I am growing and now he'll be able to see that. Sure I'll still rely on him, but I feel like it's different now you know?

Before the boys have a chance to respond they hear heavy footsteps and all look up. Mr. Sakura is walking up to them. He looked like he just woke up from a deep sleep, scruffy hair, half closed eyes, and fighting back a yawn. Mito and Y/n tense up slightly but relax when they see him sit down not far from them.

Mr. Sakura: It's a nice day isn't it? Real shame I slept through most of it already. At least you guys seem to be enjoying it.

His eyes then land on the picture still in Yua's hand. His eyes seemed hooked on it for the longest time. He was staring right at the picture, and yet his gaze seemed to pierce right through it. Yua was about to ask him if something was wrong when he burst out laughing. a deep laugh that left him resting his chin on both of his hands.

Mr. Sakura: Ha Ha I remember that picture! It's from your 5th birthday right? Gosh, I thought that was buried somewhere in the attic, what's it doing here?

Yua: I was just telling Y/n and Mito here about how you want above and beyond to make that day amazing.

Mr. Sakura:  Oh it was great sure, but did you tell them about how you refused to wear anything but that dress for the rest of the week?

Mito: Are you serious? How did you convince her to wear something else?

Mr. Sakura: Oh it was a whole ordeal about convincing her that " princesses need to wear clean clothes" and " princess dresses are for special occasions". Isn't that right Yua?
