It's been a week since i woke up from my deep long slumber. The sunlight peeping through the window rejuvenating my skin and the sweet refreshing air from the opened window, dancing around the beautiful flowers placed on the small wooden table next to my bed made me feel more alive each passing day.
Knock knock...the door opened to reveal two faces i had become familiar with over my stay at the hospital."Mrs Alice and Mrs Alisha, good morning" i greeted them with a smile, Mrs Alice and Mrs Alisha worked here as genitors at brooklong hospital. They both looked like they are in their mid 50years, and they have been best of friends since childhood. Their lively attitude had made my stay here at the hospital more worth while.
"Good morning young Hadwin" they both replied in unison, they both placed their cleaning tools on the floor and began to work swiftly.
"Missing home already? you look pale"Mrs Alisha asked me but i didn't respond, my head was spin those words Dr Brendt had told me the day i woke up,
"You cant contact anybody from the outside world, we might not be able to save you this time...."
Mum i hope you are doing okay...
I was shaken from my thoughts as Mrs Alisha screamed my name
"Hadwin!"
"Oh sorry Mrs Alisha, what were you saying?", she lets out a deep breath.
" you miss home don't you dear child?" Mrs Alisha voice was very warmly, she was almost like my second mum in here.
"I would be lying if i said i didn't miss my Mum,she all i have"
"Come oh boy, your father is still alive, he will surely take care of her" Mrs Alice assured me but reminding me of my father was not something i enjoyed.
"Don't you dare say that again, i don't have a father!"i voiced out in anger, seeing how terrified their faces were, they didn't bother to ask what happened. The tension in the room was high now and both women became diligent to their work. Obviously nobody made eye contact, i felt i should apologise but the words just refuse to come out which probably means my anger hasn't subsided yet.
"I heard you would be leaving this dump in a few days from now" Mrs Alisha asked changing the topic. I was not liking the tension in the first place so thank you Mrs Alisha.
"Ye-ah, well actually in a week time if Dr Brendt thinks am okay to go by then and plus" with a short smile i continued "This is not a dump. You guys have treated me so well over the few days i have been here that i considered you guys family already" the smile couldn't leave my face because i knew i was going to miss them when i leave.
"Awwn darling we are definitely going to miss you too, right Alice?" Mrs Alisha passes the touch to Mrs Alice
"Ye-s...for sure love" it was clear that she was thrown off balance but she still tried to compose herself. Recently she has been acting weird, she doesn't look like the quite type but lately she had changed a lot, maybe it was because of what happened earlier.
I got up from my bed, sitting on the neat flowery designed bed sheet."Mrs Alice, Mrs Alisha, am really sorry for my out burst awhile ago, please forgive me" i tried to sound as apologist as possible but they only gave me a smile and both hugged me tightly,
"We are really going to miss you young Hadwin"Mrs Alice whispered into my ears.
"But i promise to visit you guys as often as possible" i assured them with a big smile but they were reluctant to say anything, both sisters stared at each other for a few seconds before giving me a small smile.
