All my childhood my parents talked about soul mates the person who you are destined to be with for the rest of your life, your parents traveled from island to island gathering information. They worked with dangerous men who wouldn't think twice about hurting you or them, so because of these men we had to gather the information they wanted. The good thing is that I learned about all cultures and I was homeschooled. While we moved from island to island I was doing school work, my favorite thing to do was the traits of soul mates. Most were chain, vines or rope, the interesting thing is that only the two soul mates can see their trait.

My parents gave me an assignment and that was to go around on each island we stop at and ask couples what their trait was. Surprisingly most people were really open to talk about them. They had told me the assignment would only end when I found my soulmate. They gave me my mission in life and I will not fail them, this started when I was seven I am eleven now and I still haven't found him.

The ship docked on the next island and immediately I rushed off to ask people about their traits. I had learned that the ships only stay for a couple hours then they would be leaving again so I had to act quick. I had learned that the hard way as my parents and myself split ways on an island and the ship left me behind, thankfully a red haired man took me in and aloud me to travel with him. Since then I haven't seen my parents and I have never been late to board the ship again. Losing my parents was hard but Shanks and his crew made me feel welcome.

It has been about an hour and I had asked twenty couples what their trait were so far ten had wire, five had vines, four had chains, and one had rope. 'that's weird normally chain is the most in any given town, but here it's wire' while in my thoughts I run into someone.

"I'm sorry I wasn't looking to where I was going." I quickly say looking at the person I ran into, seeing it was a man I glance at my wrist not seeing anything I try to move around him but he continues to block my way. "Excuse me sir I have to go." I look up and see his hair had fallen into his face giving him a dark sinister look.

He lounges at me pinning me to the wall causing me to drop my pencil and paper. And threatens me with a knife "Give me your money now." his voice is low and harsh.

"I-I don't have any money." I say witch was the truth since the group I was with provided me with clothes and food I had no need to carry money on me. But he man must have not believed me as he cut my arm as a warning. "I'm telling the truth I don't have any money on my you can check if you want!" I shout without thinking. The man starts to check my pockets while keeping the knife against my neck. He finds nothing as I told him.

He backs away seemingly distraught not giving him a chance to trap me again I make a run for it. I almost make it to a busy street only to have my arm be tugged back and his blade go through my skin and deep in my arm. Releasing a scream of agony the man was startled for a second but quickly covers my mouth. The man drags my towards the shadows as we heard fast steps coming near us. Seeing Yasopp I bite the man's hand and was able to shout out again just loud enough for him to hear.

"Let her go." Yasopp demands taking out his pistol and aiming it towards us. I feel myself being pushed forwards I catch myself with my arms only to wince in pain, and lay down on the ground. sitting up I look at Yasopp with a smile.

"Thanks." I say now gathering my stuff.

"Let's get you back and patched up." he says taking ahold of my shoulder and leading me to the ship. His grip on my shoulder was tight enough so I wouldn't forget that he was there since I have the tendency to wander off while walking. That reminds me of the second to last town we stopped on they had allowed me to wander off by myself which ended up with us departing three days late since I got lost on a tiny island, hell once I even got lost on the ship. I would usually stay on the main deck or in my room and if I was needed one of the crew would have to come and direct me to the room I was needed in. Eventually I memorized where the dining room and kitchen are so I no longer need help for those rooms. As I drift out of my thoughts I feel a small tug on my wrist but I think nothing of I brushing it off as the wind as I am leaning on the helm of the ship looking back on the town as it grows smaller.
