Now, it is time to get used to the daily routine. But on this island, how is it possible? Coming from a warm weather city to a -30 degree type of weather. How will Ally and Beth get used to this routine? They will just work their way through it. Yes, there may be some troubles here and there, but if they might see their family again, they'll work hard, and I mean really hard to survive and keep warm to see their families again.

It was getting close to becoming November, which means it will only get colder from here. Colder? Colder than -37 degrees? I've been to the -60's myself. It's where you don't want to be. Beth had come up with a cold during the night, and now she has woken up with it. Ally now has to take her job as hunting. Beth handed Ally the bow and arrow and said," Good luck." in a weak, sick voice. And Ally was off to her new hunting. She didn't even know how to use this thing. She gave it a "shot." Ally found a caribou herd up ahead. Ally looked for a weak caribou. "Found it." She whispered to herself. All the caribou looked her way in an alert way. "Shoot," She thought. Ally stayed perfectly still until all of the caribou continued to dig at the snow and ice to get to the grass. Ally then stretched her arm back with one side of the bow in her hand and the arrow on the string in her hand. She released her hand. Ally had hit her target! Ally loves animals and it kills her to kill one. The caribou was trying to run but was suffering. She saw the blood coming down the animals fur. Fur! "I could use that to make blankets," she whispered to herself cheerfully. She took another arrow and aimed toward the neck this time. She missed it. Now,  she is on her last arrow. She promised herself that she would get it this time. And she did, right on the neck actually. Now, all she had to do was wait. Wait for the animal to die. It really does kill Ally when she sees an animal hurt. The caribou fell over, but was still breathing. She walked over to it. The animal only tried to escape. But couldn't. She whispered to the caribou "Thank you." and that is right when the caribou died. She probably looked stupid but, if you loved animals and killed it for your own good, then that is just rude. Ally now carried the caribou back. Beth saw that she had gotten an animal. Beth managed to say "Good job!" Then she lost her voice at that point. Ally now tried to make a fire and couldn't once again and then she looked in the bag with boredom then realized that there was a lighter in there. She said "Perfect!" Beth tapped Ally's shoulder then shrugged her shoulders. Ally knew Beth meant "What? What did you find?" Ally turned around and flicked the lighter on a couple of times smiling. She dug into the ground to find leftover pieces of would or dead grass. Surprisingly she found wood. She lit the wood up and cooked some of the caribou. Then, Ally began to try and make a blanket out of the caribou fur. Success! She made a blanket! What to do next? She thought with boredom. Ally was exhausted though so she got a nap while Beth kept watch for animals. When Ally woke up Beth went to sleep. It was now 8:47p.m., the sun was all the way down and it was dark. Silent. Creepy. Ally was now keeping watch. Sitting there in the silent, cold weather, was creepy. It was dark too, the moon was her only hope for light, it eventually got covered by the clouds. Ally accidentally dozed off because of the dark, silent night, and boredom. A blizzard came through but, the girls didn't feel anything because there bodies were numbed by the coldness. Beth was the first one to wake up. She noticed their igloo had been damaged by the blizzard and that there was a lot of snow outside about four feet tall. Beth woke Ally up. Ally wasn't that surprised because she actually lived in Fairbanks, Alaska before she moved to Wonder. "I used to get these blizzards once a month. " Ally mentioned. Beth had a questioning look on her face. Remember, she can't talk right now. So she basically uses expressions on her face and hand signals. They were starving and Beth realized that their caribou had been covered by the snow. Beth tried to explain to Ally that the caribou was under the snow, but, Ally didn't understand. So, Ally and Beth decided to eat the food in the bag. It was cold but it was worth starving.
