Freezing To Death

Chapter 8: Is that really you?

"Uh, ya, my name is Beth. You recognize me? From where?" Beth asked.
"From school," Ally said.
"What year?"
"2013 back when we were 12."
"Oh. Wait, how do you know my age?!"
"I don't know it just comes to me."
It was just like as Ally never died. So Beth went and asked a basic question...
"This may be strange but, do you remember how you died?"
"Died? What do you mean?"
"Anything to do with water Ally? I'm the one who tried to save you. " Beth said.
Beth's heart started to swell and get heavy and told herself don't cry, don't.
"Not that I know of. I was ice cold when I woke up though."
"Woke up from where?"
"The hospital. Why are you asking all of these questions?"
"You don't remember me, do you Ally?"
"I don't. I'm sorry am I supposed to know you? I hit my head on ice when I was 12."
Beth jumped. "Oh my gosh! You are alive!" Beth screamed and hugged Ally. She knew that she could have brain damage and forgot but was still Ally.
"Ally are these your parents?" Beth whispered as she pointed at two people, she knew her parents looked completely different.
"No, they adopted me! My parents put me up for adoption I heard."
But her parents are devastated that Ally isn't around, why would her parents want to get rid of her?, Beth thought. Well, in that Ally has brain injuries she could have forgotten what her real parents look like.
"Uh, hey, Ally I told you stranger danger!" Her dad came up and told her, "Come on we have to go somewhere."
"Ok. Bye Beth! Nice meeting you!"
Beth was walking into her apartment as she heard Ally's parents yelling "I told you not to talk to anyone because you..." and then he started the rumbling engine.
"Hey do you have Ally's mom's number?" Beth asked her mother.
"No. Why do you need it?"
"I believe I saw Ally..."
"People could look very similar sweetheart."
"But she said she hit her head on ice and has seen me from somewhere. She could've hit her head while drowning. I can't think of any possible way she would have gotten saved though. She's with people that don't look like her parents. They sound strict a little bit. They told her not to talk to me."
"I will invite them for dinner on the weekend. Alright? I'll see her then."
"On the weekend? But today is Tuesday!"
Could she have been kidnapped? I don't know.

How could she have been saved? An animal? No that is impossible. Could she have swam up somewhere else and wander off? Now that's possible. But she would've died of hypothermia! There's a lot of possibilities but I'm listing the things that come to mind. I hope she will be back tomorrow. I really want to get to know her, again.

It's like those people took Ally away from me. At first I didn't know her. Then, we got stuck together and became friends. Next, she supposedly drowned. Then I'm seeing it again but everything is different. Different parents. Different memory. She doesn't even know who I am!
