Chapter Six

It has been a few months since Blake's surgery. Danielle has been keeping up with his medication and doctors appointments while Colson has been on tour for his album. Colson tried to get off of the tour but couldn't so he's been calling them every night to talk to them and make sure everything is going good with Blake and also checking on Dani.

Colson couldn't lie that he wasn't worried about Dani and her mental health after everything has happened with her ex-husband and Blake. He wishes he could be there to make sure she is taking a mental break every now and again but the tour has got him so tied up that he's only able to call them and text to check on them.Casie has been on tour with Colson since it started because of her summer break so he had one of his kids with him but wish he could have the other one (Blake) but him being on a bus isn't the best thing for him right now plus his doctor hasn't given him the all clear on him being allowed to go far.

"Blake asked about you last night when we couldn't facetime. He was so excited to show his drawing. It was a picture of you and I with Casie and him standing next to us and a baby in my belly" Dani said with a laugh

"He really wants a sibling doesn't he?" Colson asked

Dani nodded as she laughed. They've been dating for a few weeks now and Colson was happy he finally got the girl he wanted and he made sure to spoil her and Blake. Colson wants nothing more than to have kids with her at some point and possibly marry her.

A FEW WEEKS AGO BEFORE TOUR

"Colson! Come on! We have to go before Blake wakes up if he sees we are leaving without him he'll get pissed and I don't want our son upset because we are going out without him" Dani said

"I'm coming! I had to make sure I had everything for our date" Colson said as he came out of the bedroom with a blanket and basket.

Dani and Colson made their way to his car so they could go on a picnic date. Dani had denied Colson a date for the past few weeks because of Blake but the doctor cleared Blake and said that he could get back to normal kid things and he didn't have to take meds every hour. Dani was nervous about this date because this was the first date she has gone through since Blake's father.

"You didn't have to do all of this" Dani said

"Yes, I did. I had to make a cute little date so I could finally ask you the question I've been wanting to ask you" Colson said

"What is that you've been wanting to ask me, love?" Dani asked

"I was wondering if you would finally make me the happiest man in the world and become my girlfriend" Colson asked

Dani looked at him in shocked but knew it would of came eventually and she knows she has strong feelings for him and wants to see if this would go anywhere with him.

"Yes, but if this doesn't work out you promise that you won't turn your back on Blake. You took an oath when you became a part of his life, and you can't just up and leave if we don't work out"

"You and Blake are stuck with me for the rest of your life. If we don't work out, I will always be there for you and for Blake and make sure you have everything you need in this world" Colson said

FLASHBACK OVER

Colson was looking at the drawing that Blake came running in the room with and smiled softly.

"Maybe one day you will have another sibling, Blake but right now your mom and I have to get farther in our relationship for that"

Blake only nodded because he had no clue what Colson meant by that but Colson smiled at Dani who nodded in response. Colson and Dani talked for a while and Colson helped put Blake to bed by singing to him over the phone.

Dani talked Colson ear off and he listened to every word that came out of her mouth if that meant he got to be on the phone with her forever. Eventually they fell asleep together happy and smiley and Colson knew he had everything he wanted in life from the moment he met her.
