Aether city is a safe haven from the horrors of the outside world. Deadly monsters live outside the walls. Monsters that some believe used to be humans themselves. This is what lead to the fear of people with dangerous or unnatural powers. These dangerous creatures that prowl outside the walls are unable to enter the city due to the large walls.
