༆I couldn't help but let my eyes well up with tears. I couldn't help it, after fifteen years of residing in the confines of this compact town, and I was leaving everything behind. Well, almost everything. My mom, my mom was the most constant thing in my life. I knew this new job opportunity would make us a lot happier, and would make living so much easier. I felt horrible about it, but I was still spiteful. It was justified, but I still feel bad.
It's awful leaving everyone I love behind. But I thought I could settle in a big city. 'I bet there will be a ton of great kids at my new school! I'll be fine! I'll make new friends in no time' I smiled, wiping a few tears from the corners of my eyes. I turned to look at my beloved mother, my only family, the person who looked out for me since day one. I had nobody else in the world.
"Hey, mom?" I spoke up, my sorrowful expression replaced with a smile. My mom glanced at me and smiled in the mirror. "Yes, sweetie?" "Can you turn on the radio?" She nodded and switched on the radio. We didn't have many stations out here, but I could still occasionally get good songs. I curled up in your seat, and pressed my cheek against the window, watching the small town I loved so dearly go by, and fade away.

I groaned and opened my eyes, I'd slept the whole eight hour trip with my face pressed against the window. Naturally, I had a terrible crick in my neck. I rubbed mu neck to try and ease the pain and stiffness. I watched as the car slowly came to a stop in front of a small decent looking house. My mom looked back at me. "This is it, let's bring the boxes inside." I turned on your phone to check the time. It was 2:13. That explains why I was so tired. I opened my door and stepped out of the car.Glancing around my new neighborhood, the houses looked off. That was the best way I could put it. The houses seemed to lean and there were oddly shaped windows everywhere. I looked further down the road, realizing that the street stopped, and seemed to be one big circle, with houses lining the sidewalk around it. But what caught my eyes the most was a small house crammed between two bigger buildings. That house, by far, was the strangest looking... the colors contrasted terribly, the house was far away, but I could see occasional bright pink glows from the windows.
I was pulled away from my thoughts when I heard my mother calling me over to help her carry boxes inside. I stacked two boxes in my arms and nudged the door open with my foot. I assumed my mother had opened it while I was observing the other houses. I stepped inside my new home, it was plain, there were a few pieces of furniture, but besides that the house was empty.

༆Half an hour later, a greasy looking teen knocked on my door with my pizza. He looked to be about a year older than me. I took the pizza and paid him with cash your mother left for me. The guy shuffled away, and I opened my pizza on the doorstep, taking note on how greasy it was. The pizza guy drove off, leaving me alone. Not a soul was outside., I heard a huge "BANG" and laughter. I glanced around for the sound, and my gaze stopped at that strange house that was squished between the bigger buildings. My curiosity was at an all-time high, but I ignored it. I turned on my heel and stepped back into the safety of my new home.
I ate a quarter pizza, brought the box in the fridge and went to my room. The walls were blue, which I wasn't thrilled about, I would've liked the walls to be a nice warm {F/C}. Almost all my belongings were put in their designated spot. The rest were in boxes scattered around the room. I sighed, I was hovering in between anxiety and excitement. 'The new kids at my school would be great! Not total weirdos with webbed feet or creepy obsessions with the paranormal.' Satisfied with my little "pep talk" I flopped on my bed and let sleep overtake me.
