-PROLOGUE-

"It's no use."
She flinched at the husky sound of his usually strident, dark voice and stopped slamming the handle of her gun into the gap.
"We could still try to shoot our way out, you know?" She croaked, her voice hoarse from hours of screaming. He shook his head. "The bullets would ricochet back at us."
Angrily she slammed the gun against the wall with full force once more before letting out a groan. "So we're trapped?" He nodded grimly. "I suppose we are."
Suddenly a cracking was heard from the ceiling above them. "What was that?!" She burst out, her voice strained with fear.

Then the shooting began.
