LIGHT

I'm on a journey, so far
From home, knowing nothing;
To have bid ‘em goodbye was hard,
So alone-feeling empty.

As dusk set in, I set out,
Saw the trees under the pale sky,
Slowly the fog clenching-in,
And the dark light has filled in.

The clouds were looming up high,
And a cold breeze passes me,
Freezing the deep memories inside,
Now, wetting them like tears rain.

Hey! A flash of lightning,
A flicker of joy, alight!
Gone ere I opened my eyes,
Before I felt it exciting.

Time and again, it strikes,
Each time I'm tired of catching it
It doesn't stay for me, for none,
He's free, does what he likes.

Maybe that's what I must be,
A lightning, before the sounds,
With the light of a million bulbs,
Light up these dark skies.
