The world outside her was slow,
She walked in, like no other,
A conqueror, she set my heart glow,
And let my demons inside whither.
Once, she wrote as a prank,
“Marker Forever” on my forearm,
And now, months later, hers I am,
Without her, this space stays blank.
Together, we discovered our home,
To be in each other’s arms was home,
Next to hers, my emotions brimmed,
Always time to go home, we dreamed.
Cloud 9, she’d say of my presence,
I never knew the phrase, until,
She expressed it at every peck of mine,
On her forehead, cheeks and lips.
The curl on her lips was heavenly,
Telepathy- ours is always magical,
Miles apart, we’d still sleep together,
With one last whisper, one last kiss,
And one love.
.I wanna take a moment to admire the overwhelming response I've been receiving for the poems I post here, especially from the 'Read it and weep book club'. Much love. Thank you!
